Wish we had money for Pau Torres.
Sell De Ligt? :boh: :numnum: :b81:

I mean, if we can sell De Ligt for 90 million and get Pau for 50, would you do it?

His contract is up in 2024, so he could potentially be cheaper next summer (should he choose to stick around), but I have a feeling he's Barca/Madrid bound or going to one of the Britbong Fuckers.

Ill try and love this Modric deal. It just seems unambitious is all.

This team seems to lack leadership and winning mentality. He can act like a culture transformer, a tone setter for us. And it's not like he would stay 4 years or something. 2 years max imo.

Guys remember that we had Sandro, Evra, Bonucci, Chiellini, Barzagli, Lichtsteiner and Dani Alves 5 years ago. Same year with Howedes as back up I think. And Gigi of course.

Just suddenly came to my mind. What a downfall.
good point. squad lacks determined players. more chiesas less bernas needed.

it's why i think salah should be number one target.

I dont want modric, i want us to naturally develop our own culture and leaders, a one year stop gap doesnt do anything for us.
I'd have expected something like Modric + another young top mid. SMS for example.

Modric alone I wouldn't like either as our midfield transfer. But as cherry on the top for one year or two? I'd love it.

I just don't see how him being here one year help us get to the champions league final in 3-5 years. This group needs cohesion and anyone that comes in needs to adapt and not vice versa imo

Exactly. One year of Modric isn't helping anyone. Fast forward the following year, we'd have to look around for a replacement just as good if not better.

All those young Italian midfielders people are fapping to wouldn't magically turn into great midfielders by spending most of their time on the bench.

He's a legendary player, there's no denying it but is he the right signing if you're aiming to build an elite team within 3-4 seasons? I really don't think so.

Union pulled the trigger on Ronaldo hoping that his 'champion mentality' will rejuvenate the club but instead they've ended up wasting another season building a team around a 37 year old player. They already want to move on from him.

Ronaldo is finished. Have you seen Modric vs. PSG and Chelsea?

But I get what you mean.

Fair enough.

Just a small note on #MilinkovicSavic: he has been the dream of #Allegri for years. In 2018 and in 2019 #Juve made some serious attempts to get him, but without success. And in the next summer mercato they will try again.
