Modric is great ofc and quite tempting. But yeah, 37 and 32 is a big difference in football terms. He may still be able to cut it at the top level now, but at this age the likelihood of a sudden plummet increases with each passing day.

Knowing JJ luck, we'd sign him right before he is ready for retirement.

Would take Modric here without a doubt. He is still a magnificent player, our midfield badly lacks experience/leadership and is someone who can open teams up.

For a couple of season he'd be ideal.
people are just scarred by the other older jabronis we've brought in. Modric would be just as important of a signing as Pirlo was imo. He can give us a couple really good years and help the transition to a new cycle. To me, hes the greatest mid of my lifetime after Zidane. But is this anything more than cooler talk? Are there any actual links out there?

He will be mentally checked out after the World Cup, like majority of the footballers his age.
Pirlo had a lot to prove given the way he was discarded by Milan. Modric will probably be given a hero's send-off when he leaves Madrid. At this stage, he has nothing else to prove. Not the same situation at all in comparison to Pirlo.

To me he is the only truly "diferent" player that we have been link.

What worrys me is that with Dybala gone, Cuadrado is the only player that can "create" or win a "one against one" by himself...

Zaniolo, Raspadori, SMS... all good player but none a "diferent" player.

Antony can do that...
Chiesa-Vlahovic-Antony mama mia

I also think were gonna end up with Zaniolo, but he doesn't necessarily need to start. I also think Roma will lower their price, just have to wait it out.

Lot of of hypotheticals there.

I'm more concerned about his physical than his mental
