imagine Rabiot goes to barca and then becomes WC player for them, like doing everything right and averaging 30 g+a in first season :rabiot:
There is a higher probability of me winning the lottery, buying Juventus, fucking Jessica Alba, or being signed to a 10-day NBA contract. Even the odds of Juventus winning the CL are higher than Fagiot ever becoming anything but a liability.

The single most important question you can ask from a player before signing is simply ”are you going to bed at 10pm or 5am”. If it’s the latter, no matter how good he is, should not be signed.

Im starting to lose my faith on transfer fees and guaranteed salaries.
What if it's 1am?

I'd take him. He's still a difference maker

I don’t know mane, he could be a late bloomer and Xavi might turn him into what Pogba should have been. :rabiot:

Fagjinho and Pogba :yuck: :inter:

Rudiger on insane wages - yaaaaay. He's definitely going to make a difference to our attacking output from defense.
I'm not on the Pogba train but Pogba-Jorginho would mean an instant massive improvement. Don't you agree?

Midfield is where it's at if we want to see the team transformed.

I'd take Jorginho in a heartbeat. Really good player who can marshal the midfield. He's rarely injured and most often than not guarantees a good performance. B81's hate on Jorginho is like his love for Dybala. Based on the past :p
Pogba, at those wages, is going to be a massive gamble. He shows up sporadically for United. He's still got the skill but not the mentality he had when he was first here. He'd be a better Rabiot, and that's not enough. Spend that money on SMS please Bene!

Massive improvement on paper, but I don't want reheated soup. I'd rather we go for young players with upside and a desire to succeed - hunger is key. Too bad we allowed that option on Traore to expire - he is exactly the type of dynamic fast-paced mid we need.

We don't need to play with a Regista - WE ABSOLUTELY DON'T. Fagjinho slows down the pace of the game - the opposite of what we need. He has a limited skillset, and yes he's very very good at what he does, but he's no spring chicken and he will not allow us to play at a faster pace. Of course anyone or anything is an upgrade to the two abominations we have in midfield parading as pseudo footballers in Fagiot and Arturd.

Gazzetta reporting Juve are in pole position for Rudiger? I'd say complete BS. He's wanted by Bayern, Madrid and PSG. Why would he choose Juve?
He would love to play under allegri, the only time he would go througt opponent's half would be during pre-match training, corners and salute to curva sud at the end of the game.

Bremer, Zaniolo, Traore, and another winger and we're in business.

If we must sell De Ligt, then so be it. Keep Gatti, Bremer and Bonucci as starting CBs, bring in Milenkovic from Fiorentina, and we have a very solid defensive setup.

We agree on the first part ;).

But I've been on the Jorginho train for years now and I'm quite confident he would up our tempo. He'd be our first midfielder to hit one-touch passes switching sides or even launching a striker over the top.

Bremer is a fucking hardcore merda supporter like Berardi. Don't touch.

Would be disastrous but I doubt it. We need to transition from Bonucci-Chiellini asap and De Ligt is the only reliable CB we have to make that transition. Need another reliable CB for sure. I think we'll keep De Ligt for another season atleast.
one other season isn't a realistic scenario, i think either we extend this summer or sell.

as i said multiple times, i'd be fine with either selling him for a hefty price or get bremer as a replacement and invest in the midfield. just no more prospects like kulu, pellegrini, arthur or bentancur in the starting lineup, we have way too many youngsters already. we need experience too. if we could get sergej and jorginho that would be a dream mercato regarding the midfield. then let's add a left back and a winger (chiesa is fine on either sides), and we're good.

yeah, too bad that sergej is borderline impossible.

Why is it not realistic? De Ligt is literally the only CB we can rely on at this point. Chiellini will probably retire, Bonucci cannot be relied upon anymore due to injuries and form, he's 35 and Rugani is Rugani. We only have De Ligt that we can depend on.

Getting another experienced CB like Rüdiger for example or even Bremer for that matter might help transition to the post Bonucci-Chiellini era. Losing De Ligt the following summer would be less felt because whoever comes in this summer will have one solid season under their belt.

Imagine a hypothetical scenario where our only reliable midfielder, Locatelli gets sold this summer. Not only we need to replace him but also replace the useless turds that are stinking up the pitch right now.

If De Ligt gets sold our defense will find itself in the same situation.

Besides no one is going to bid €100M for De Ligt this summer anyway so selling him for the same/similar amount for what we got him for doesn't benefit us at all.

as i said, i think it's either an extension and he stays for a few more years or sell. on his current contract, it doesn't make sense to keep him for an other year just to let his price drop, or to risk him leaving on a bosman next summer. anyway...

Don't see his price dropping regardless of the contract situation. Besides there are already reports that we're prepared to extend his contract but on a lower release clause.

I think we will play this situation similar to what we did with Pogba. Ideally, I would like him to stay for as long as possible but that's probably not realistic.

However, retaining him this summer when our defense is vulnerable is a must imo.
