Renato Sanches is not the type of midfielder we need. Don't get me wrong, he's better than everyone in our midfield bar none. But what we need is a spark of creativity in midfield and Renato won't offer us that. He has pace and physical presence but not really the man to dictate the tempo.
he is injury prone, so absolutely suitable for Juve.

What? Locatelli is the better player. Different type of mid of course, but still. Also with Renato you always have to chance of him shitting the bed like it happened at several clubs before.
Locatelli has better defensive qualities to his game and a better passer of the ball, but Renato is faster, stronger and more dynamic. Let's say they are in the same level on terms of overall quality.

Either way, as I said, IMO we don't need the qualities Renato brings. We are in dire need of a creative midfielder who can dictate the play and that's obviously not Renato Sanches.

Yep. That too.

How does that matter? Opinions change over time given the form and development of the player. Nothing to be ashamed about. Only stubborn/adamant people stick to the same opinion.
I agree but people also should not underrate players just because they play for a Serie A team.

#Juventus are ready to let #Dybala leave at the end of the season. #Allegri wants reinforcements in at least each position to start a new cycle. The list of players is: #Rudiger, #Pogba, Marcos #Alonso, #Raspadori, #Jorginho and #Zaniolo.

Marcos Alonso :howler: What a piece of shit signing that would be. The fucker is 31 years old and his career has stagnated more than the Libyan economy since 2018.

Fagjinho, Rudiger and Pogba aren't spring chickens either - so much for investing in youth and promising talent.

Raspadori is another overrated mini Jabroni. The only exciting signing on that list is Zaniolo, and he's not exactly robust.

Our team would become infinitely better, except maybe in central defence.

Infinitely better? Marcos Alonso is not an upgrade. You guys complain about Dybala being unavailable, but I am sure you will enjoy Jogba's availability, antics and disappearing acts. I never liked Fagjinho.

De Ligt for Rudiger is a downgrade. Like I said, the only exciting signing on that list is Zaniolo, and he's not exactly robust.

And the fullback positions. We need young athletic players on the flanks, not two fullbacks in their 30s.

I would argue that strengthening our fullback positions is every bit as important as strengthening our midfield.

I guess Danilo/Cuadrado would suffice on the right for another year atleast but the left side requires a young speedy fullback, not Alonso.

As for the midfield, Jorginho and Pogba in one summer seems way too unrealistic anyway.

1 LB, 1 CM and 1 CB. That should be priority. Then we can make additional filler signings if required.

If we're losing Dybala, who is going to play up top with Vlahovic? Chiesa (who will need time to recover after that injury) and? Morata might not be here. You want to rely on Kean?

Until Chiesa returns:

Szczesny
Danilo-De Ligt-Bremer/Rüdiger-new LB
Zakaria-Locatelli-Pogba(?)
Cuadrado-Vlahovic-Morata

+Raspadori as a backup wing option

I would take an year of having an 'underwhelming' attack without having to directly replace Dybala as long as we have our bases covered in defense and midfield

Not saying you're wrong, but who would you suggest instead?
