U guys are arguing over this shits and in the meantime:

And Paredes only makes sense if we loan Rovella and get rid of all of Arthur, Rabiot and Ramsey. Wouldn't make sense to pay more than 15 m for him, unless it's some sort of exchange with Kean.
There are rumors of Rovella loan to Salernitana

Paredes would be a pointless transfer. I see him as another version of Arthur, we’d just put him as a regista and watch him pass sideways and backwards for the whole season then struggle to offload him.

buy quality or don’t buy at all, we already have quantity and it’s better to give Rovella/Fagioli/Miretti a chance than this relic
He’s actually 99th percentile for midfielders in progressive passes and passes into attacking third. I don’t want him here for other reasons, but he plays the role nothing like Arthur. He’s a much more progressive passer. He’s soft as fuck and overpaid is the real problem.

Paredes only as cheap backup for Loca
And there's one of my issues with it.

Locatelli thrived at Sassuolo NOT playing the regista role. Fagioli should be that role and behind him should be somebody on cheap wages. A backup shouldn't cost in wages what Paredes would cost when you can get a youth to do it at 1/100th the cost in wages and no actual transfer fee.

Fagioli is no regista either, he is a mezzala. From current squad only Locatelli can play regista role. This is probably the reason we are after Paredes.
