Rovella is strictly a DM, hes not like Fagioli/Miretti where he can play other positions, not well at least. So if Allegri won't start him, it makes more sense for him to get loaned out for a year. Considering how much time he missed last season, continuity is more valuable to his development. So if Rovella is out, then yeah, they do need a regista.

If Parades is coming we could try out Locatelli in a more advanced role instead of a DM which he isnt really. Therefor this Parades deal makes a lot of sense imo. He’s not WC by any means but we didnt have a registra since Pjanic’s decline

Locatelli Parades Pogba
Zakaria en McKennie for rotation
Arthur and Rabiot out

We don't need a fucking regista.
Registas are perfectly fine. Even in the modern game. As shown by Jorginho having close to a Balon d’or level 2021. Or Pirlo’s seasons here. Etc etc. the problem isn’t using a regista, it’s using a shit one like Arthur who can’t make a forward pass, or soft as fuck one like Paredes who is a liability outside his passing game.

Again, we don't need one. We can deploy a midfield trio of Zakaria, Pogba and Locatelli. I'd rather we trust both Rovella and Fagioli than give minutes and wages to an Argentine Pussyfag who is deemed excess to requirements at his current club. I thought your beloved Allegrisaurus was actually studying the game in the two years he was on hiatus - it seems more of the same to me. Safe, predictable and lacking in ideas.

Any young players in Brazil that match this description?
Actually right now Brazilian football is kind of thriving. Stadiums filled up with people, traditional teams are improving theirs organization and finances, and the exodus of players from Russia and Ukraine helped improve some teams. Also there's an important disparity from the economic situation of our neighbors.

All in all, yes, there are plenty of useful players in Brazil right now. But big clubs like Flamengo, Palmeiras, Atlético-MG, Corinthians, are selling high now, sometimes even for European standards.

Gotta look at the clubs in a worse financial position, who are equally good at forging youngsters: my Fluminense, Santos, Sao Paulo, Vasco.

I won't go too far. The best DM right now in Brazil, along with Danilo from Palmeiras (who is expensive and will only leave for 15-25M) is a guy named André, from Fluminense:

https://www.transfermarkt.com.br/andre/profil/spieler/800176

21 years old, physical beast, aggressive, enforcer, who likes to push plays with vertical passes and carrying the ball forward. His dribbling is actually great (he was groomed as an AM), and he doesn't have tunnel vision.

Fluminense is one of the top teams in the world when it comes to youth and, as usual, is in a huge financial crisis. André wouldn't cost more than 8-15M (including bonus), and obviously, with low salaries (1.5M a year should be more than enough). A fee of 8M + 7M bonus would probably do it.

This is a guy I believe has potential to be a 10 yrs starter for our NT. Very few weaknessess.

He is already, as I said, the best DM in the country along with Danilo from Palmeiras:

Actually, Fluminense just sold a RW to Betis, Luis Henrique (https://www.transfermarkt.com.br/luiz-henrique/profil/spieler/800175), for dirt cheap (8M) - a natural left foot dribbler and finisher, a rare kind in today's football.

Brazilian clubs are strengthening, gotta keep an eye in the weak ones (like my Fluminense, unfortunately). It bothers me to see Juventus lack of investment in Latin American youngsters. In Argentina there are hundreds of them, also dirty cheap.

André's destiny will be a huge club in Europe, in 1 year tops - and he will be a hell of an investment. I bank on it. He would be an instant starter at Juventus.

There aren't that many "great" registas, so it doesn't make sense to always have to use one. I don't understand this reluctance of using Zakaria as a DM.

This. Thats the only logical explanation i can find for the motivation of this transfer to be made.

Locatelli was amazing in the Euros where he had a more progressive role and ventured into the box, i have yet to see him been given that kind of liberty with us.

Still, our midfield would still be at a huge risk and an injury away from another non-ideal reshuffle.

Locatelli- Paredes - Pogba - Zakaria is not terrible imo, but still very fragile considering our lack of depth
