RB is actually one of our strongest positions currently, easily more than good enough for Serie A and even CL. LB is the position that needs to be sorted out or it could easily backfire during the season.
I tend to agree with this. Think RB isn’t too bad, I still think Cuadrado/Danilo can do a more than serviceable job there and people clamouring for us to waste €30m on Molina weren’t thinking straight. This team has plenty of other weak spots to prioritise before even thinking of RB.

Our LB situation is just shocking and if we don’t do anything to upgrade there (we won’t) we are in for another torrid season there. Alex Sandro will be the definite starter and we’ve all seen how this guy has performed since 2018…not good at all.

seriously our back fours sucks, if De Ligt goes we need proper LB RB LCB RCB. our current defenders are good as back up options.
LB is the weakest area of the squad that’s for sure - massive improvement needed there. This club still hasn’t prioritised this position and it’s been years now.

In terms of CBs we sell MDL and replace him with a turd like Milenkovic, that’ll be the weakest we’ve been at CB since like 2008. RB is the best and most well covered part of the back four tho imo. Not too fussed there.

We have zero fit options at LW, no back up striker, and we are still missing another good passing CM. And there is still so much deadwood to start shifting that we can’t/won’t for various reasons.

Unfortunately, I can see another tough season ahead for this club.

Definitely we will see lot more movement in the transfer market after selling de Ligt as we are not in a good financial position.

That was with Chiellini and De Ligt. Both are gone.

You are in for a surprise if you think Pellegrini will start ahead of Alex Sandro.
Chiellini was a fan. De Ligt is still under contract, last time I checked.

Think so about Pellegrini with Alex Sandro outgoing, yes. Guess we'll see. Even Desci could be an option.

I actually like all the moves they've made so far. Pogba and Di Maria are absolute home runs in theory, at least. Gatti very low cost, high reward. Cambiasso I like as well. Very low cost as well. Zakaria's wages are probably fine and he came for free. He's like a free capital gain and I think he was pretty good for us so far.

Slowly removing the deadwood like Bernardeschi and making an example out of Dybala signals a stricter direction for the club. There's just so many radioactive wages that make all our players immovable. You can't add unless you sell.

Agresti just a few hours ago said on VS that the club is not broke at all, they just can't take any more players without sales. You can't afford to add midfielders to a department that has 9-10 players already (including the youngsters). You also can't take a new LB/RB while being stacked numerically in these positions. Bini & Bene know the jabronis are pretty much impossible to sell so they have to be extra cautions here and not add player to an already too big squad.
The only position where we can take a player is attack, an additional winger (Zaniolo) can be taken but Roma still doesn't want our players in the deal. If MDL goes, for sure they will get a 'proper' replacement.

Would you guys do an equal exchange with Arsenal, Tierney for Arthur?

Tierney seems chronically injured, but I struggle to find many players I wouldn't swap for the biggest failure we've ever had at the club.

Arsenal looking to sign Zinchenko, Tierney injury trouble, maybe they consider it?

Where would a left back fit in? Just offer Gabriel and swap deal is on.

Makes sense
Doesn’t make sense to renew with a jabroni like MDS though

Do we want to give a chronically injured player a new long term deal?

They won't consider it. Tierney one of their top players.

As much as I like Morata as a person I seriously don’t want him back for a third time!!! Time to move on from Morata, he never consistently delivers

indeed. If we want a good hybrid player who can start at LW and backup CF. Why don't we just get Marcus Thuram. He won't cost more then whatever we wanna offer for Morata 3rd time the charm doomed experience.
