In general this is why it's so important to get Italian players, they wont look for perceived greener pastures
If you want to win and achieve sustainable growth, the Jabroni Select 11 is going to take you nowhere fast.

No one is going to tune in to watch a team comprising the likes of Luca Bambino, Paolo Landucci and Alessandro Marzone.

We need to close for a CB now and announce him after MDL leaves. I just hope we get a better CB than Kimpembe.
Seriously I can understand signing him even if he isnt my favorite CB but MDL`s replacement MUST be someone who is as good or almost as good as MDL.

Be honest, MdL is max an average defender, nothing special since he signed for us. Better CB than Kimpembe? Cannot see anyone who is available now.

Always hoped Mandragora would make it here at least as a bench player.
I thought I was a bit strange that he was never given a chance by Juve/Allegri. A solid DM like that is always useful, now we need better, but once our midfield is sorted a player like that can be useful for rotation. He was an important player for Torino and will likely be one for Fiorentina.

MDL is a great defender so I have no idea what you are talking about.
He is however not worth the price we paid to get him as he is a great defender but there is still something missing in order to be worthy for such a price.

Is MDL the best in the world? Obviously not since there are defenders like Koulibaly and others that are better than him but he is without a doubt top 10 defenders in the world.

In any case it doesnt really matter what we think about him as he is leaving and he needs to be replaced with a great defender and not just a good one and that was my point.

Currently I see it as a tough thing to find a good defender as KK might not be available + he is also linked with Chelsea so maybe they want both MDL and KK who knows..
Bremer is an interesting option as he proved his worth in Serie A. The only downside with Bremer is that he doesnt possess experience with a big club. He could be a great signing but he could also flop so its not a sure bet (although I think we should take it)

It's because he probably wanted to actually play and have continuity, something that we were not ready to offer as we were stacked with DM's at the time also, from what i noticed with him it all started to fade away as soon as he had that last nasty injury when at Udinese after already having had some other serious ones some years prior. He not been rumored to be in our plans ever since, and for good reasons.

Chiellini replacement is Gatti, De Ligt will be replaced by someone. Only chance for another cb to come in is if Rugani leaves
How can a legendary player at his position be replaced by a former #10 turned CB with highest level of experience being Serie B? The only similarity between him and Killini are that they are both tall and paisans.

Gatti will be loaned into oblivion like every other youth we have rights to. And maybe that is the right thing to do here.

I'm pretty sure people saying that are talking about him replacing present day Chiellini. Who for all intents and purposes was a fringe player.

Or they maybe mean it in the sense that he would be good enough to play the ~25 games per season that Chiellini would had missed at this age anyway, because in the games that he did play he was always one of the most solid players on the pitch.
