This is clearly going to be the most depressing transfer window in recent memory.
We’re not only broke, we’ve also lost statute and respect thanks to Agnelli’s mismanagement and Super League fiasco. And we play Jihadball with a bunch of footballing terrorists in the squad.
Even 35 year old Di Maria says no thanks to a 7.5m 2 year contract

Neres isnt bad but I always thought him as a good fit for Roma.
Neres as backup with low wages? I can live with that.
Neres as a starter? No thank you.
This is not possible, the rule is he has to stay for two years not more than 1 year, so the growth decree doesn't apply for 13 mo

I also don't think decree has any effect on our offer. We offer sum before taxes so it's the same for 2 or 1 year, it's just his net salary that is lower because he will have to pay more taxes.

Seen a few articles claiming that the 13 months would effectively extend him into 2 reporting years and mean we could benefit from the growth decree. Not an expert on it by any means so if that’s false news then it’s going to be either 1 year at a lower net salary or 2 years at a higher one (yes I don’t believe our cost would change whatever he chooses)
Either way he’s clearly not bowled over at the prospect of joining us via either method. He won’t get the money he wasn’t from the Barcas of the world
