This is a massive dealbreaker for football in general because every elite talent would want to be like Mbappe now, getting paid like like a king and basically run the club all by themselves

Very very bad precedent set by both PSG and Mbappe.

Perhaps

But I see PSG as the only club that would allow this situation. Their ownership doesn’t care about winning trophies on the field. Like Jj they care more about everything off the field. They just do all of it better than Jj. Even the plastic PL clubs wouldn’t sacrifice long term revenue from media rights, sponsorships, advertising, etc. at the cost of limiting their entire future on a single player. PSG is in a unique position in a league that no one major fan base consumes and with zero competition with lack of $ investment in either.

Outside of a blank check system, PSG has nothing going for them after the past 7-8 years of oil barron ownership.

Just my 2 cents

Good move by PSG to start their own destruction. From Messi and Neymar all the way down to Dollaruma, all will be demanding huge salaries and players will only go there for money as opposed to success. Even a single season there will fill a player's bank account so they'll not care about playing well. Also, look at how quickly Abramovich lost Chelsea so even these Qataris are at risk, especially after this Winter World Cup with England fans attending, likely to be tortured for being drunk and disorderly. Watch this space.

Just read an article in polish fan site on Di Maria, he has assisted 266 goals in his carrier till today, thats one less than Cuadrado, Dybala, Chiesa and Bernardeschi combined, lmao thats some crazy stuff.

I'm a few pages late but tbh I don't even care that Mbappe robs PSG like that, I wish I could do the same. They're retarded for spending that much on him though, no one player is worth that.

the problem is different - they are like player on cheat codes when it comes to money and they wont even feel that they are overpaying.Probably most of this sum wont even be in his contract with them, but some bullshit sponsorship with Qatar company.

They'll never get even close to a return on that investment unless he scores a hattrick per game, but if they want to throw money away then have fun. I can only hope Mbappe at least contributes a large amount of money to charity every year or something so that this isn't fully disgusting.
