For sure it's a panic buy, any transfer will be as such in my book. Tici had known for months we'd need a striker way before we sold Higuain. Yet he prepared nothing, so now we either overpay for old geezers or for someone younger.

Yes at this moment it are all panic buys, but at least hes not 40, is on loan and doesnt have insane wages. If it doesnt work we're not stuck with him, with Dzeko and Suarez we would.

I always looked at what ever forward came in as short term option so I really didn't mind the players' ages. So is Morata really a better option than Sharkez or Dzekosaurus? I don't think Morata is the forward we want upfront for this season. Not a natural goal scorer and doesn't seem to have matured beyond his weak mentality (which had been attributed to his youth). I usually don't judge a book by its cover, but you can tell by Morata's face that he has no killer instinct.

I guess Post Ironic is right saying this deal is basically to fill a void in the cheapest way possible. It even suit the rumors of us really in for Halland...
We will have a competition with Real who will be eager to bring a star forward and unless their bid for Mbappe is successful I can see them pushing for Halland..
