Agree. But winning scudetto will not be minimum requirement with years to come. I expect inter to become even stronger next year. It will no longer be walk in the park. Though, losing this year will be on us.

We are still way ahead of them financially and squad wise. Of course the Scudetto should be a minimum, anything less is a failure.

Atletico knows the moment he leaves they'll become midtable or worse. Their best ever manager with 2 CL finals, and he's still managing decent results despite having all of their great players sold. Now their team is crap, thats a tradeoff of keeping him at those wages

If we're hiring a new coach this summer then:

- young and potential route - Inzaghi. Knows the league, our players also know him from playing against him a lot and probably respect him more than anyone we could get from abroad. Actually won trophies and seems really likeable, good man manager. Maybe Ten Hag too, but I don't see us going that 'exotic'.
- proven winners - Deschamps, Pep, Allegri

Yah, but you'd think they'd be able to keep him if they paid him say, 25M instead... saving 18M and he's still the highest paid.

Or hire another top coach like Allegri for 1/3 of that, and have plenty money left to spend on player transfers and wages. Seems to be a better way to spend the money imo.

And his results aren't so great this season, surely not justifying the salary. Many other coaches would have them in the top 4.

What if they have to fire him? That compensation package would be massive.
