Another reason I want Aouar so badly is for the last few weeks I've been reading in a football chat I'm in, Arsenal fans so smug and cocky... "All we need is Aouar and Partey and we have a great team."

I'd love to be the one to break the news if we sign him :D
I really hope nobody signs torreira off them, I got a horrible feeling that will tip the scales in their favour given they've already offloaded the likes of martinez for a decent sum

If we get Aouar arsenal fans will not hear the end of it from me.
The shit that will go down on AFTV, I swear I've been waiting for this all summer

I hope mombly doesn't spout out more crap because I've lost all faith in him after the "we had money to buy aouar as proven with the morata deal, but now we have to sell to buy" FUCK OFF

We all know Paratici has been following Aouar for years. But we also know that Aulas and Agnelli are close friends, maybe Agnelli is doing Aulas a solid here to force Arsenal's hand.

However if you read what French journalists have been saying they don't think he's as close to signing for Arsenal as they do over in England.

Aouar
Rabiot
McKennie
Bentancur
Arthur
Ramsey

Seems very excessive to me, especially if Pirlo is planning on playing 2 midfielders. Although he has been preaching about us using two man midfield because that is the characteristics that we have in midfield, maybe Aouar would set up a 3 man midfield?

Aouar - Arthur - Benta sounds fantastic.

We need to find a way to handle counter attacks otherwise whoever we buy is meaningless..

We had a defensive philosophy in which we waited for others to make a mistake. Now we have the opposite problem as we are on the attack but we are leaving too much opportunities for counter attacks.
I dont think its just about players although our midfield must improve.. We must find the balance if we want to win anything in Europe.
As for Serie A - On one hand we have a better team than the rest of the league, on the other hand our ability to face counters is very problematic. In the end Juve remains the favorite but we could really make it easier for ourselves if we find that balance..

Anyway with the way things are going we might face another break soon. Covid is breaking loose..

They've been aggressively arrogant, which is weird considering the club they root for. Like, where does that arrogance even come from?
Still think he will stay with Lyon. But if this deal does happen, I cannot wait to hear comments like "we didn't want him anyway" or "he isn't up for the challenge of playing in EPL" or "he chose the easy route to play in a farmer league".

If Juve is actually in on Aouar it’s curtains for Arsenal. The question now is, are they actually in, or are they being used to drive the price up? Remember, Juve has a great relationship with Lyon. Remember last year when they insisted on Rafia signing a contract so they could give Lyon a transfer fee?

Seriously, they've all crawled out of the woodwork since arteta started winning with them. They always had that arrogance, just didn't have the results to prove their point. 2 tin pot trophies later they think they can compete again because they think arsenal are a big attractive club with a history of winning.
