Locatelli is an extremely obvious move. He's a vice-Bentancur playing in Sassuolo. Doesn't have the same technical level but he's no donkey. Also has more defensive strength than Bentancur.
yeah, locatelli makes sense. when i first read the rumors i was like meh, he's no starter material and we do have enough depth, we need starter, but on the long run, a young italian workhorse is always welcome. 25m is a bit steep at first sight, but if we have a working plan for getting rid of some old dead weight like higuain or khedira, it's an easy fit financially too. on a 2m net and 5-year contract, he'd still be one of our least expensive players.

what's our plan to ship higgy and sami out though. with their salaries, they are practically unsellable. rescind contract and pay a hefty severance fee?

Hopefully they are right.
Sarri was brought for a reason and that is to play "beautiful football". Im looking at Serie A and found 2 teams that play beautiful football and non of them called Juventus...
Results wise - We win the Scudetto but that was king of a given. I mean you need to really mess up in order to not win with Juventus.

P.S the two teams I referred to are Lazio (pre covid) and Atalanta.

Looking at our management and we know their tendencies - It is likely to be an Italian.
Pep is not a target since Covid and the fact that City will likely be allowed to play in CL despite everything (what a joke)
Inazghi vs Gasperini vs Conte vs Other
Inzaghi - Might be a possibility although I see him continue with Lazio.
Other - Cant think of anyone in particular but I left it to surprises.
Gasperini - He and Inzaghi are my preferred coaches and while I really liked pre covid Lazio - I think Atalanta are doing something extraordinary.
Conte - The question is how much he is tied to Inter. We know the board like him..

I think its going to be Gasp vs Conte as on one hand we know the board wanted Conte but we also know the board wanted "beautiful football" which points to Gasperini.
I hope Atalanta`s game against us convinced the board to go with Gasperini
How was Gasperini’s spell at Inter? I don’t recall him being there actually

Edit: I see now he got sacked after 5 matches and Inter did poorly that season under the other two (!) coaches as well.

Yap. Gasperini has been great wherever he went but that Inter setback got his reputation down.
I think Inter beat us under Gasperini but that team was truly horrible..

I rather have Boga.
Boga has that smooth control while he cuts into dangerous positions.
I havent seen enough of Torres but according to youtube he likes to hug the line rather move inside

very short and still full of disappointments.

not entirely gasp's fault though. look at all the coaches and their record with inda ever since mourinho left them. even conte, the hardest working mofo that exists, with plenty of winning history both as a coach and a player is capable of failing in that environment. long live inda's loser mentality.

meh, de boer was too short and zero roller coaster ride. i prefer stramaccioni because of the dramatic element: they beat us in november to move 1 point from 1st place, and then came the fanbase's constant negotiation with the inevitable after that:
- in december: it's still strama's first full year, rubentus is stronger, i'll settle for 2nd place
- in ~february: cl place is fine, at least we'll start the season earlier for the cl qualifiers. more matches :tuttosport:
- 2 weeks later: el place is still an improvement, we finished last season 6th

and they ended up finishing the season in 9th place :lol3: best inda season after 5 maggio

Milik said yes to the Juventus and asks for a double wage compared to the current one (2,5mln)). Napoli is resigned to the idea of letting him go. They would prefer to sell him abroad but the Polish player’s will is clear.(Luca fiorino24)

Actually forgot about him :D

Yep, also Gasp wanted to play his signature 343 and Inter provided him with basically zero wingbacks.
Problem is and similarly with us, clubs need to show patience if you want to completely change your style of play, inter didn't afford him time, same with de boer who was seen as some sort of disciple of the total football mentality, in fact I remember gasperini was on the verge of getting sacked from atalanta till they finally found themselves.

Particularly with coaches who are not flexible with their formations and tatics but then question arises for how much time should we be patient?

Juventus are thinking about Luka Jovic to replace Gonzalo Higuain this summer. [Ok Diario via TuttoJuve]

Locatelli is the player most similar to Marchisio, plays so much like him except for starting deeper in midfield compared to young Claudio.

No brainer signing to replace Khedira or Matuidi with him, younger and cheaper player. Energetic, technical, 22yo italian midfielder that is comfortable defending and good at tackling. An all-rounder.
