Jorginho is also -no matter how you spin it- the perfect fit for the all-important regista position in a Sarri team.
Yes but in all honesty we can't be in the mindset that Sarri's system cannot function without Jorginho. The club will have made it known to Sarri that on the economic front it just doesn't add up, if Jorginho was in his early 20s then yeah I could see a chance, but I'm keeping in mind that the club want to bring the average age down and Jorginho along with the asking price seems out of the ordinary in line with our current strategy. Chelsea will absolute want to recoup as much of the 60 mill they paid for him, and his agent the other day touted that his price has gone up this season. No Chance, better off getting Aouar, different type of player, more useful, better and younger

I don't see it that way tbh. If we are playing Dybala as a CF and Kulu/upgraded Costa - CR7 wide we are't gonna get an attacking midfielder as a starter/specialist. Dybala, Kulu and Ramsey(who stays if plays, I think even he agrees) can fill that slot should we need to tailor for a specific opponent. Good enough in my book.

PS:
Bitch ass Farca president and future inmate Bartomeu seems bullish about their spending spree, but insists 'after' the season is over. He is a constantly lying POS so all things spoken should be taken with a grain of salt - but Inter might finally cash on Lautaro's hype. That will be a strong move for them - he is definitely not 100m player. Hopefully that doesn't sway Messi to stay in La Liga.

Not a specialist, a Pogba/SMS/Aouar type CM

Dybala is a CF now, so that would leave Kulu(/upgraded Costa??) as the sole creative outlet? Not enough and way too easy to shut down imo

A Pogba/SMS/Aouar is a dream upgrade on that old Matuidi workhorse and misfiring Ramsey. We have Rabiot, Arthur and Bentacur to do the dirty work/shuttling and that is where Rabiot does improve and deserves a chance.

But they are not attacking midfielder, or they won't be here, the same way CR7 is not a CF. Neither is Dybala for that matter - and that's how it works now. False 9 and a wide forward leading the line. Torres from Valencia is the obvious CR7 replacement, even Gabriel Jesus from MC would be more difficult and might actually be better in Dybala's position.

So in short, imho, we have actually 3 'creative' outlets in attack and no real poachers. That's why Gonzalo scores like mad - this team is built for him. My problems are with Cr7's future limits to cover ground and Dybala's False 9 depriving us from a prima punta. But that is the modern Guardiola/Sarri way, I guess. Besides if Kulu/upgraded Costa chips in with 20 g+a season - no worries whatsoever.

We should avoid players like Jorginho, we are in dire need of rejuvenating the squad, not add players that we will struggle to get rid off in 1-2 years. We already have loads of them.

Martinez won't move now, his clause has now expired. Unless barca are prepared to spend more i can't see him leaving now

And makes no sense to spend that much on a 29 yo backup striker.

Btw, can't believe he's 29 already.
Laca is 29... fucking hell

Rabiot is quickly showing dramatic improvements. Something has changed in him and he definitely needs to be given a shot. He was free so its not like its an expensive risk. The guy is lightyears ahead of Matuidi with quick passing and having the ball at his feet.
Today we will see his true colours in the absence of 2 of our essential players.

Milik would fit better in terms of holding up the ball, and actually being able to provide some aerial threat. Laca is a midget..
He does hold the ball alright but only to lose it right after. He’s such a boring player, definitely not what we need.

Oh defenitely, Laca is not a targetman, short technical poacher who is mobile and clever. Milik can fit better tactically. But Laca is objectively the better footballer. Not necessarily a need for Juve (IMO, I dont think Milik is a need for Juve either).

Why do you think Lacazette is better?
