I wouldn't mind Pogba if he were a model professional like Ronaldo but he isn't, he has been corrupted by all that money just like Alexis. Bale is also expensive but he's a big game player.

Lots of promise in the form of Chiesa and De Ligt, an injury prone quality midfielder, a French fag, and a guy who won't get to play here before 2021. The midfield remains weak and underwhelming.

Not enough, and still underwhelming. Our midfield is piss poor to begin with, so a couple of free acquisitions doesn't render it world class or quality all of a sudden. Upgrade? Yes Substantial? If we add another player in the Pogba/Ndombele mould.

I added the signing bonus in there so its
100M vs 178M expenditure wise - Not really something we can compare
Taking sums into account De Ligt+Rabiot would be much better than Manolas and Pogba
Taking the money out of the equation I think Manolas and Pogba would make us stronger at least on the short term.

Rabiot is good but we still need more in midfield where Pogba could make a giant leap in our midfield quality
De Ligt would provide more stability over the years but short term dont expect him to win the golden ball...

There is also the thing thats called loyalty and you know Pogba isnt the most loyal while De Ligt is still a baby and might take time to move on while Manolas even if he decides to leave after a year or two - We will easily replace him...
Rabiot is free so even if he leaves he will get us a lot of profit...

The thing about our current midfield is - Rabiot to me isnt better than what Marchisio has been although he is still young and has time to improve while Ramsey is Marchisio level
Pjanic is our best CM but its not as he is prime Pirlo...
Which means if you try to 2015 it you get a midfield of Marchisio Marchisio and Pirlo (not in his prime) - Is that the midfield we want?!
On the other hand Pogba Pjanic Ramsey is Pogba Pirlo Marchisio - way close to our legendary midfield of 2015...

To summarize all that - Pogba and Manolas are for now and Rabiot+De Ligt are more for the future

Considering all together (FFP+Loyalty+quality) I`d take the option that will make us stronger on the long term but might not be the best short term -> De Ligt&Rabiot

Here we go again... MU doesn't want to sell Pogba, has high price, we want to insert one player because we cannot afford his price, Real pushing for him.
