How reliable are the sources saying he’s going to Man U? Shows a lack of ambition if he makes that move honestly. They’re a club who don’t look like they even have a project. He might just be using them to push barca into offering better contract. If it’s true tho we should be going hard for him
Don't know how reliable they are.

Manchester United have ruled out a move for Ajax defender Matthijs De Ligt, according to Sky sources.

Just as expected, he wasn’t going to Man U. Let’s hope the Barca deal collapses and we swoop in

Koulibaly > De Light right now imo, and Koulibaly is still young so we can improve even more, would not complain with either but probably lean towards Kouli, guys a monster, perfect Chiellini replacement
Koulibaly will be 28 next month

    Not exactly young

Ofcourse Koulibaly is better right now.. Not even a contest but the thing is Koulibaly is young but De Light is super young... When you get De Ligt you get almost another decade..
If I have to choose I go for the present as Im tired of waiting for the future and I think our team need reinforcement now.
Too bad its impossible to get both..

I would still easily take De Ligt, because he is already peforming as a top CB at his age. He has been great in CL. Yes Koulibaly is better, but the price for them will be the same and one of them is 8-9 years younger then the other...

    Fully agreed

Koulibaly is one of the best CB's in Europe but he would end up costing a world record fee to price him away from Napoli.

If you are blowing that kind of money, we should be investing in players who will set us up for the next decade or so , so in that regard De Ligt would be a worthwhile investment.

I honestly don't see us getting either and instead us getting Ramos. If we were to get koudibaly or de light we are talking about somewhere near 80m. Add that to pogba/savic it's almost 200m. I don't see us spending that much this mercato.
I don't see Ramos happening either

It would be a medium tier CB like Manolas or Alderweireld and honestly I'll be okay with that

    Or Savic from Atlético
