Can doesnt necessarily have to assume Pjanic's role. Its just making some tactical tweaks. Bonucci will help us play the ball out from the back. Can will sit there in front of defense and do the dirty work which will give guys like SMS the freedom to bomb forward. We may not be as good in controlling the game without Pjanic but as described above, we might become a more direct team in the process.

We cant control shit with Pjanic in the team anyway, and Allegri football is definetely more suited for a counterattacking style.

Having Can infront of the defense, Matuidi as the ball winning btb mid and giving SMS more freedom to join the attack would make us more dangerous and solid defensively, than a mid of Pjanic, Khedira/ Can, Matuidi.

Huge mistake. SMS is good, but he's not a creative midfielder. We need Pjanic and then a good B2B next to him.

SMS is way more creative and confident on the ball than Pjanic. He can hold on to the ball and get it to those who does the magic for us. Most importantly, he can even GET the ball.

The problem is that most of our other mids are poor, meaning that Pjanic from an individual point of view is the best we have at the moment. Of it was the 2015/2016 mid he would be 5 choice, and nobody except Zizinho would have s problem selling him. To be honest I would not have a problem selling him as long as the fee, is used to get a good replacement.

Pjanic is not indispensable.

The midfield needs an SMS type of player for sure.

One of Miralems key attributes is his exceptional free kick taking skill from 20/25 yds.

This area is now covered by Dybala and CR7.

Lotito will find a cash/player adjustment valued at €105mincluding MP extremely tempting.

Ohh could be, I did miss some matches last season (Saturday matches ain't good for me)...but every time I did see him play I really wasn't impressed.
