@Xperd

Have you also noticed that Beppe seems pretty good at getting good fees for our mediocre bench players and youngsters, but when it comes to selling starters, desirable youngsters, and old timers he often gets fleeced?
For me Beppe is just not a great seller, period. If there's one weakness about him, its his selling ability.

Inter getting Vidal on loan??? We should have got that deal
We were busy pleasing god of CB's Bonucci.
When he scored against Juventus he told us to "wash our mouths" and now our management are doing just that...
BonBon god of Turin. He wants AC Milan Juve grants...he wants return Juve grants.
Make him a mayor of Turin.

I don't know. He seems to get great fees for some of the most random players, and then be totally incompetent selling the players you'd expect to make a killing on. He's definitely an inconsistent seller.

I hope it is something that can be improved over time when our brand/reputation grows further with consistent results on the pitch especially in Europe which would increase our leverage. See Real Madrid for example. They went from poor sellers to fleecing teams on the market even for their bench players.

Guy's on his knees begging, and coach (long ago apparently) and players made up and are fine with it, and he'll improve the team, so that's fine as long as there's a public apology.

But he shouldn't be earning more than Chiellini, and he can't be worth 40m now when we sold him for 42m last season.

One appearance in a friendly?
But, in Caldara's defense, the competition for the CB spot in Italy is much bigger than for the RB spot in Portugal.
It is?

I keep reading that Bonucci is a terrible defender and complete liability. That Barzagli is old and washed up and should retire. That Chiellini is in decline. That Rugani isn't very good, and will never be Juve starter quality...

Who is Caldara's competition? Romagnoli? :shifty:

Higuain has already agreed a four-year contract worth €6M/year with Milan. Milan have an agreement with Juventus. Higuain is asking for €4.5M as a severance payment from Juventus, which is not agreed on yet [TMW]

He is taking a pay cut ? :shifty:

I thought my point was obvious :D

Lets get serious. If Caldara was bought by Juve, we definitely saw potential. No need to downplay his quality, because, just like those here who keep praising him, we haven't watched the guy play. But the bare fact that we brought him here means that he's good.
Then again, the guys who are now replacing him with Bonucci are the same guys who brought him here for being good. If we trust their judgement that Caldara is good, why do we distrust them for thinking Bonucci is better?
