Süle is a great guy, he was very good this season especially against Madrid in both games. But Boateng is still better than him and he can improve any team in the world. I agree that he's too injury prone over last 2 seasons.
If he is fit he is definetely a top three CB in the world. The question is if he can stay fit. No reason to get a player that will only be available for 1/3 of the season.

of course he's good when he's available, but do we need to spend 30m on an injury prone cb, when we have chiellini, barza, benatia, rugani, caldara, and we don't have any classy fullbacks besides sandro who's had a terrible season and might leave, we do need a monster cm who's able to tackle since vidal left, and higuain's stay is also hanging in the balance? at least thiago would be a good addition to the midfield. would cost a lot more than 30m though :D
Injury prone is valid concern. Assumption is buy him because he is healthy

And another assumption is he would be bought only to replace Benatia, who would leave because he isn't seeing eye to eye with Allegri.

Our investment to fullback should be separate from this talk, Cancelo should be gotten before any of this.

We need a CB cum RB. Selling Benatia, buying that player and using him as more defensive Cuadrado alt as well as CB makes sense. A new Howedes seems ideal and don't want to see Barzagli in the defensive RB role ever again.

Another attacking RB in Cancelo makes less sense esp for the prices rumored (unless on loan, which is very unlikely from Valencia's perspective).

Boateng seems done. Since his injury in start 2016 he hasnt been the same, only in small glimpses.

Its a shame, because before that injury he developed into a beast CB. Süle is about to replace him, he is showing great signs.

And he is talking about he wants a new experience outside Bayern, so if we can sell him I dont see it as that big of a loss. Süle is already slowly getting better, then Bayern just gotta look for a decent replacement.

And let that not be Vogt for fucks sake! Fine CB, but doubt he is good enough for such a big club.
