IMO, with news of Khedira's extension and everything Agresti said here about Pogba and SMS, all roads lead to Khedira extension + Can + a younger midfielder like Golovin or Pellegrini with Sturaro and Marchisio leaving to make room.

To me he's the ultimate fantacalcio name. Bayern sells people they want to sell for huge money. We can't afford neither his transfer fee nor wage.

Agresti presented stuff about Icardi like we're absolutely certain we can take him if Higuain leaves. He said 'for Icardi - simply - everything depends on Higuain', not the other way around. I only see 3 options:

1. Higuain stays
2. Icardi comes if he leaves
3. Cavani as the unlikely option

When you've got Higuain, it's pointless to blow your entire budget on either Lewandowski or Icardi. Not to mention the first won't want to come here, the latter won't be sold to us by inter. Otherwise they'd be up against a riot, friggin Guarin didn't go through because of their fans.

So Agresti goes to the bin for me. While I agree it's impossible to get Pogba and/or SMS, I really don't think we'll neglect the issues we've got in the midfield. Golovin at this point can replace both Marchisio and Sturaro because he won't be a starter. Can as the only starter-material improvement is simply too little. Next year both Khedira and Matuidi shouldn't be starters anymore.

TBH, Bayern did sell Kroos to Real for 25M in 2014 as he wanted a big pay-rise. Lewa is still out of reach tho.
