Moaning about not signing decent Fabinho (lol) and then complaining about signing a better player in Dembele who was in WC form this year.

This might be worse than complaints about not signing Torreira thinking he'll make a diff when friggin Bentancur looks better lol.

Not my first choice but if SMS level players can't be signed (very difficult), someone like Dembele will be fine.

Can, Dembele, Golovin would be quite satisfactory even if not a 10.

If let's say both Marchisio and Sturaro leave than be sure to expect at least another italian CM joining in with us, i can almost foresee it already. #italjuve :D

Dembele is not bad, but do we really need another player who's going to slow things down?
And that's ignoring the small issue that when the going gets tough, Dembele goes missing.

But to answer vodka's question: he'll be 31 next month.

Dembele is better than Pogba.
He might be better in speaking Dutch or German..
When it comes to football its like saying Dybala is better than Messi...

2 man mid, give me Dembele.

3 man mid with great regista, give me Pogba.
1 man midfield give me Pogba
2 men midfield give me Pogba
3 men midfield give me Pogba
9 men midfield give me Pogba
I think I made my point here..
The only reason to go for Dembele and not Pogba is the cost of the player.. thats it..

Sturaro, Marchisio, Khedira leave. Dembele + Pellegrini/Barella come in.

Higuain OUT, Cavani IN. Mercato chiuso...oh yeah, Cancelo too.

Woj
Cancelo-Benatia-Chiellini-Sandro
Can-Pjanić-Dembele
Dybala-Costa
Cavani

Perin
De Sciglio-Rugani-Caldara-Spinazzola
Pellegrini-Bentancur-Matuidi
Bernardeschi-Pjaca-Cuadrado

Our main weaknesses last season were fullbacks and midfield. For 60-70 million we fix all of that while rejuvenating the squad.:shifty:

Allegri would organize us conservatively regardless so I definitely prefer players with some flair like when we had Pirlo and Pogba to pure hardworkers even if they are more safe defensively. Its not like Serie A is full of great offensive teams that will expose our shaky defense. They park the bus.

Gimme Pogba back anyday. Some players have a magic touch we need more of those. Costa, Pogba, Dybala...would be awesome

I'm a bit confused as to why most of the midfielders we are being linked with are regista/Dm's and not B2B which is what we need

we already have pjanic, bentancur and can to play in front of defense

+ Marchisio in case he stays.

However, our interest in the likes of Golovin / Pellegrini and even SMS seems rather realistic especially because of their b2b ability, which as you pointed out aswell it's what we should be targeting right now.(if we are to continue with a 3 man midfield ofc), but again imho that most rumours popping up rn are rather likely just journalists making assumptions.

I decided not to listen to the rumours this summer. It seems that same like last year, media have no idea what is actually going on and are making up bullshit.
We didnt hear anything from Marotta for such a long time that its certain they are working their asses off, but imo we will be suprised as the media know shit.

Dont get me wrong Dembele is a good player and IMO Can is too a good player but are they so great they will make our midfield one of the best?! I personally dont think so..
Cancelo - Some rate him some dont - I think he is good linking up forward but Im not a big fan of his defensive work..
Can - I think he is definitely a player with potential to be even much better but dont fool yourself he is currently on par with Khedira and Matuidi IMO not better than them...
Dembele - I think he offers something we lack in our midfield but he is Dembele and not Pogba or SMS so dont expect something extraordinary from him
The midfield is indeed better than last season but we could make it much stronger...
Cavani?! Of course he is better than Higuain as Higuain is on a decline and Cavani is at his peak (expect a decline from him too soon) but he is 1. super unrealistic 2. not much younger than Higuain so we do nothing by replacing him with Cavani in terms of building something

Cancelo Can Perin are all but confirmed so the only question goes for the other CM - Pogba is the best fit while SMS could provide some defensive work as well. There is Kovacic who can offer something interesting but lacks the physicality of Dembele
as for forward - Allegri asked for Martial or Morata to replace Higuain - Morata means better team movement but less clinical, Martial offers better team movement and IMO he could be very clinical but his height and physicality means we lose something in terms of back to goal and headers

P.S Pellegrini as a sub would be great to have but our budget comes first

Midfield 3 requires Dybala to be sold or for him to play CF.

Or 3-5-2 then no where for Costa to play :shifty:

We still don't have a really clear idea of what kind of formation to play. Haven't really had one in a couple years.
Maybe that's Max's strategy. Keeps other clubs on their toes :p

Yeah. This one is possible.

Dembele's contract is up for review. Wages won't be an issue but he wants a longer term than Spurs will offer. He's 31.

If Juve make a good enough offer, I think we'd let him go.

The of majority of Tottenham's players and many of Belgium's international squad say he is the best player they have ever worked with. But his age is catching up with him now. Would do better in Serie A.

Let's pull a Pirlo on him. Rejuvenate him for a couple solid years.
