Juventus join Dembele race
By Football Italia staff

Juventus have joined the race for €30m-rated Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele, according to Sky Sport Italia.

The Belgium international turns 31 next month and has also been linked with Inter and Napoli, among others.

While the Nerazzurri made an initial offer for around €10m, it’s believed Juve will go far closer to the €30m asking price.

Dembele has been in England since 2010-11, first for Fulham and then Tottenham.

His contract is due to expire in June 2019.

He won’t be cheap.

It’ll make more sense to keep him for another year and let him go at age 32 for nothing when his contract expires than it would be to cash in now for, say £10m.

£25m - £30m probably gets this done.

Really? That much for a wrong side of 30 player with 1 year left? I'd say 15-20m max IMO.

In your opinion, can he play with Can and Pjanić together?

Maybe. But this is a top 3 PL team as the seller. It’s that sort of market.

One of our favourites, Dembele, so rather he stayed - but Juve could be just the right club for him. Reckon he’s got 3 more decent years in him, if it’s Serie A and CL.

Interesting player if we get him. Will be useful. Thing that worries me, for example, is he requires quite an engine for his play whereas Pirlo aged better because he didn't need that kind of movement to play well. I think like you said 3 years would be a decent amount to get from him at this age.

We REALLY need a midfielder(s) that can move forward quickly with the ball. Our CM's are so slow lol

I have a feeling we are entering the race just to increase the price for inter :beppe:

Can-Pjanić-Dembele
Absolutely. Three very different players, whose skill sets could be very complementary.

Dembele is the guy who will draw opponents, retain the ball moving forward, and free exploitable space for the creative and/or box-to-box midfielders types.

Just that the PL being what it is, 100mph gung ho stuff, his legs are giving up.

Mandragora - Should he be a small club player he would cost as much as Cristante and Barella but since he is playing for us and teams know he will not get space at Juve I think he`ll go for 20M or even less

- - - Updated - - -

~€15M for Mandragora
€20-€25M for Pjaca
€15-€20M for Kean
€12-€15M for Cerri

Could make €60-€70M easy with these sales :beppe:
Loan Pjaca to Lazio - after a year we can sell him for 50M
Give Kean a better team in 5 years he could be worth 60M
Cerri for 15M is ok
Mandragora since I cant see us getting the Cristante Barela kind of money I think we should settle at 15-20M for him (he might get minutes in finished games or some Coppa Italia vs small team action but he will never be a regular here - He is just not good enough)

Sky Italia reporting that Mandragora will be sold to Genoa in a permanent deal with Juve having a buy-back option. Genoa also want Sturaro, but the player has not yet accepted the move & prefers to wait for other offers. Marotta & Preziosi will meet tomorrow at the Lega meeting. @ADP1113
