I think after many disappointing transfer windows I've given up hope of this 1 being any better.. we seem to strengthen 1 area and damage another . If we buy some quality in midfield no doubt it will be followed by selling dybala and buying berardi or eder

immobile yay or nay? please discuss. :numnum:

I feel that he needs to have a team specially tailored to him for him to really succeed, worked at Lazio and Pesca but he flopped at Dortmund and Sevilla, don't think its worth for us to adjust our style to fit him, I don't think he can adapt and still preform if he is a square (head) peg in our round hole like higuain did.

box head prick

i don't like his personality either, he's a prick indeed.

but he did make some real progress and became a goal machine, didn't he. scoring 41 goals in a single season cannot be accidental, right? my concern would be his head: he looks like someone who handles pressure way worse than our players.

For Allegri's style we need someone with great movement and ability to hold up play under pressure as well as being a dominant presence in the box. Morata, Belotti, Icardi, Džeko, Cavani etc. - that type. I don't particularly like Icardi, but he would be a great fit and it would be worth just seeing interisti weep.
Since when is Icardi great at hold-up play? He touches the ball less than almost every player in the league. He's great at losing his defender in the box, but a great build up player? That's not his game at all. He's constantly trying to get in behind defenders

4M
4M 3M 3.5M 2.8M (looking for an increase, rejected 5.5M apparently)
4.5M (will need a new, better contract soon. 6M) 6M 7.5M
7.5M 6M
7.5M

not to mention Benatia, Matuidi, Cuadrado. not to mention v2, the ridiculous fees for SMS and the RB, with no incoming transfer money. i highliy doubt we do this, even if we could, without sacrificing someone

Milinkovic-Savic's wage would be around 4.5-5M net if he came here. He earns just 1.5M at Lazio right now. Pretty sure Man U are not crazy enough to give him over 7M net wages. Thats like 230-240K a week and atm very few players at United earn that kind of money.

Immobile shouldn't have been a reject in the first place.
he wasn't more than a talent who couldn't live up to the expectations, so selling him was the right choice that time.

but now he has matured a lot, my guess is that he would qualify as a homegrown player for both cl and serie a, and his wages aren't astronomical. i could imagine him as a backup striker to dybala, if we sell higuain and move dybala to cf.

I'm afraid that he would be a rather expensive backup. Figures of 60M are being quoted and he's not worth it. Nowhere near infact.

Besides Immobile is not suited for our playstyle. Useless talking about him.

he changed his style a lot, his workrate is immense compared to himself 2 years ago. i can't comment on the price.

i agree that as there are no rumors about him, it's just fantasy football. i guess the forum can handle that.

Its not about his workrate. He is more suited for teams playing on the break like Lazio or Napoli which is his ceiling. Doesnt have the height, aerial presence, cant play with his back to goal/not physical enough , no European pedigree to boot. It'll be another costly mistake. Like getting an Italian version of Higuain.

Plus he's been rather awful while playing for the National Team. Pass.
