Pirlo, Tevez, Khedira, Vidal - great business back in the day. But those were/are proven worldclass players arriving on a free/for peanuts. Doesn't quite compare to signing Can (a good mid, but nothing special) when we've been searching for a quality mid for years now.

As for bigger numbers = better footballer, in Naby Keitas case it is just that. He is a complete allround beast and can become an absolute machine of a CM.

I was too lazy to say it wasn't targeted at you in particular.

For the record I think Naby Keita and Fabinho are very good signings for Liverpool, players who will suit them, but they also paid top dollar/going rate, so crapping on the Emre Can deal (which fans will end up revising their opinion of, almost certainly) in contrast to those makes no sense.

Already some absolutely ridiculous rumours flying around, then you have those who keep mentioning SMS, for some absolutely bizarre reason. Then they wonder why they are disappointed.

Well i watched him many times this year in that role and is doing great, i prefer to keep him there and let pjanic play on the right side
