Yep, kid is amazing. We would never get bogged down in midfield again. He has amazing motor with the ball besides being excellent playmaker. Plus Real made him an effective hustle midfielder with defensive positioning now.

I think you all overrate Kovacic but we all know that if we dont go for Kovacic the money will not be going on a better player but a random one or even two with half of his abilities so even if Im not enthusiastic about it I approve..
Kovacic is a great player but he rightfully being benched by Real and if we sign him he will be our 2nd best midfielder after Pjanic who is not half as good as Pogba or SMS..
Kovacic`s signing will establish our dominance in Serie A but I dont think we can expect much in Europe based on his signing alone..
P.S Kovacic for 50M is a fair evaluation not a steal or something..

Now someone like Maddy will rise and say Kovacic is twice as good as Messi or something..

You are right but I dont know I mean he is doing everything right but there is still something missing and I just cant point it out..
He will be an upgrade on what we have but I really hoped we get someone who will be better than our best midfielder
Kovacic will be our 2nd best but take Vidal for instance - cheaper and better although older (not same type of player but Vidal is better at his role than Kovacic in his..)
I wouldnt go in tears if we sign Kovacic but I wouldnt be partying it either
To me Kovacic and Martial are in the same category
C.Ronaldo and Messi are 10s
other players like Pogba Verratti Ramos Marcelo Modric Kroos Griezmann Kane and SMS are 9s (Dybala is somewhere between 8 and 9 because he is inconsistent)
D.Costa is a 8.5 but when we signed him he was an 8
Kovacic is an 8
Higuain was a 9 at Napoli but now he is a 7
Salah was an 8 when he was signed by Liverpool but is a definite 9 right now

8 is good but the 9s are the ones that can get us that great leap

P.S I didnt name every player in each category as obviously there are more 9s and 8s out there
