What I find incredible is how many people want to sell Gonzalo, Dybala etc
But still complain that we sold Vidal, Bonucci and Pogba

How about we keep our top goal scorers and sign some quality mids instead?
I think what it boils down to with Dybala & Higuian is their lack of chemistry together. When one was firing on all cylinders, the other wasn't or vice versa. They don't seem to click so how do you address that and make the team better? Change coaches to keep the players or what?

I'm sure we can work something out, work on a Christmas tree formation IMO
But the problem is a lack of dynamism in the midfield

Dybala has to work too far back and Higuain ends up isolated

Sell Higuain :donedeal:

Higuain is not the hard working type, and he's not exactly athletic; players like that tend to become a liability around 32 years of age, which means in 18 months or so, the rapid decline of Higuain shall commence :D

I agree with @MikeM on this. Having Dybala-Higgy together on the pitch doesn't work all that well for the team. We have to sacrifice too much solidity to make it work somewhat, but imo clearly look better in a 433 with only one of them playing. That's where the sell one of Dybala/Higgy idea comes from.

We certainly need midfielders that can push the ball forward more quickly (either themselves or passing). Take Hamsik, for example: he is leading the league (or was) in forward passes to the attack. He is the spark to Napoli's attack...starts in midfield. Khedira is slower than dirt, Matuidi isn't very technical...so yeah, it certainly hurts our offense. Neither Dybala or Higuian are terribly quick , that doesn't help but if we had more technical midfielders that weakness wouldn't be as apparent. You can't play with midfielders that somehow only manage 27 touches on the ball in big games. We need to sort that out and find mids that can impose themselves.

The only midfielder in Italy that I see instantly taking our midfield to a higher level would be SMS but we would need to sell in order for that. Sandro & Rugani maybe? :boh:

Juventus are following Porto's full-back Ricardo Barbosa Pereira (24) with a great interest, Inter & Leicester are also interested in Portuguese & ready to battle with the Bianconeri. [Sky]

Puttin' me on the spot. :D

Sandro if we get a 60-70m+ offer. Disco Stu, Mario is leaving so put his money in there.

I'll be honest...I'm torn between selling one of the Argies or Sandro first. I'm leaing to sandro today.

I really think if we had a better midfield our attack would be more lethal which is why I don't wanna break them up.

Seriously? Higuain hoes back almost into the defense to collect balls and move forward, what games do you watch ?

Morata, Martial, Pogba are all really good players, but none would solve our biggest issue of clear leadership and physicality in our midfield.

Khedira is done, Matuidi is clumsy and dumb, Pjanic is soft.
I wouldnt say Pogba cant lead.. He did lead us one season in which we started bad and then he stepped up and helped winning the scudetto while IIRC we were eliminated by a wrong ref call disallowing Morata`s goal which should have ended the game...

I would not sell Rugani
I understand what you are saying about Rugani as he is a future starter but then again maybe not..
Rugani is going to be great but he isnt something special. I mean if we dont have Rugani we will have someone else.
Bonucci was special because of his playmaking ability at the back.
If we need to sacrifice A.Sandro+Rugani for SMS (considering we get a good LB as well as we will be needing one if A.Sandro leaves) Im all for it as SMS will be very important for us

Pogba and Morata are more like fantasy rumours i am sure in few days Vidal rumours will also start
Pogba I`d definitely welcome him back but he is a fantasy and nothing more
Morata - only on a low sum and normal wages..
Martial - 60M is a fair price so sure..
