so whats your point, they can be as good as Pogba? or even better, since they are more proven?
The point is, it's useless to compare any midfield transfer with Pogba. Pogba was a once in a lifetime deal with all the pieces of the puzzle coming together. He's not even at his own top level anymore...

Pellegrini can be a solid acquisition. He has good ball playing skills and some experience, he is Italian which would make him fit right in, he's young and relatively cheap. Depending on why he's bought -immediate starter or for instance Sturaro replacement- and how he fares, we should judge.

Shooting him because he ain't a Pogba is useless. No one is.

First of all we need to know who's going to be the coach for next season and even more important: Which formation?

But we need a worldclass midfielder next to Pjanic, that's for sure. And at least 3 defensive players (Chiello old, Barzagli old, Asamoah out, De Sciglio always injured and Lichtsteiner also old)

Why can't Caldara be a starter for a top European team? I mean if he continues to develop why couldn't he?
I expect Caldara to come and be a sub here until gradually taking his starting spot
Rugani to improve and take his spot next to Caldara
Next year`s starting 11 might not include Caldara but I do expect him to be ready in 2 years.. Same with Rugani

What I find incredible is how many people want to sell Gonzalo, Dybala etc
But still complain that we sold Vidal, Bonucci and Pogba

How about we keep our top goal scorers and sign some quality mids instead?

Paul Pogba wants to return to Juventus. Despite the interest from PSG, Real Madrid & Barcelona, The 24 year-old prefers his former club. [TS]

Morata is willing to return to his former club (Juventus) this summer. Juve-Morata, A love that never really ended, Juve will continue to monitor his situation, But his return to Juve remains complex purely because of economic reasons. He would likely to ask for €8m salary. [CM]

Mourinho has freed Martial, He is no longer in Man Utd's plans, Juventus are interested in him but not alone, There are also Bayern & Barcelona... Matuidi have already spoken to Martial about Juve in the French NT. [TS]

Morata, Martial, Pogba are all really good players, but none would solve our biggest issue of clear leadership and physicality in our midfield.

Khedira is done, Matuidi is clumsy and dumb, Pjanic is soft.

Maybe Caldara can make it, but I still have my doubts.

Thats not really the point. Pellegrini is a good player and in todays market 25m is a good price. The problem with buing multiple good players for 20-30m each is that we will have no money left to invest in 50+ players who will be able to take us to another level. Therefore we should only go for top players or talents who have the ability to become a top player, and in my opinion Pellegrini is neither.

Its like going to the car dealer looking for a Ferrari returning with a Mazda because the guy gave you a good deal on it.

well we obviously are not rich enough to do that, I don't think much has changed this season, again we probably got like 30m to spend on transfers before selling.

if you look at last 3 years, it becomes quite clear we've invested a shitload in attack compared to other parts of the team, our attack cost us almost 300m in transfer fees and it's not paying off on the field.
