Unless we can get +50M for Cuadrado, he wouldnt make sense to sell. We dont have anyone better for his position and wont find it for a sum below. And stop putting Bernadeschi in any lineups. He hasnt shown anything yet that should get him considered for a starting spot over Costa, Dybala or Cuadrado. He is young though and can hopefully improve.
It is maybe also time that we question the importance of Pjanic. Maybe not 'importance' as it is for sure important that he starts AND shows up. But the problem is that he often doesnt show up, even if he starts. He doesnt control anything at all in that mid and he is rather conservative in his passing and aggression. He jogs around out there as if he isnt bothered at all. Maybe he needs a better partner in mid, or maybe he simply is not good enough. Im not sure at the moment.

We will go for 433 next season. I dont expect a big overhaul though.
Asa, Licht and maybe Alex Sandro will leave and we will concetrate our mercato on fullbacks, while getting Can and maybe this Pellegrini guy for midfield. If we get Pellegrini one of Sturaro or Marchisio will probably leave.
Im afraid we might sacrifice Dybala too, if this happens hopefully we will go for a WC winger.
Wonder what will happen with the guys like Barza, Mandzukic and Pjaca.

Great and Pellegrini in the same sentence?! :howler: He's a decent rotation option, nothing more, nothing less. He's definitely an upgrade on that oaf parading as a footballer. I just love it when people overrate every Italian prospect out there, hoping that they'll amount to something. It's rather endearing actually.
Do you suffer from the same, just vice versa?

Please list the names of those all conquering, great Italian talents that have surfaced over the past decade :baus:

I understand we need to maintain an Italian identity (although in this age of globalization and branding it's rather counterproductive), but what we must not do is buy mediocre/average Italians to compensate for the ones we might be losing.

So Pellegrini is almost a done dealio. Solid start but looks like Can isn't coming then.
It's one or the other, I hope. If both are coming, that entails no more midfield reinforcements and, given that midfield is our Achilles heel, it would be rather underwhelming.

I'd definitely take the both of them. We're probably looking at a summer where Marchisio and Ruru are leaving while Khedira could possibly leave as well. Sealing those 2 deals would make us enter silly season without any fear. And no, we're not capable of landing SMS/Pogba/Vidal or whatever dream signing we want.

I wouldn't be satisfied with those two as midfield reinforcements. They will not improve our midfield and will be used in rotation. I think our scouts need to do a better job of identifying players in South America and Eastern Europe. Since we can't afford the big names, let's try and get someone who has the potential to become one (like we did with Pogba and Vidal). Unfortunately, it seems Beppe has been resting on his laurels scraping the barrel, looking for freebies, and cheap(er) Italian talents.

I hope Beppe isn't lying about Dumbian.

:howler: Only mistake? Are you sure?
Maybe not his only mistake but it was a real shame to lose Vidal and get only 30M... Its like selling Messi for 100M - Its not just a bargain its THE BARGAIN..

People have been fawning all over Bentancur and his completely average or even mediocre performances.

Pellegrini has looked a hell of a lot better imo.

Allegri likes tall players plus he is overrated I think Cristante or can should be our target
Verratti isn't overrated. He is hot headed and that would need to be addressed. We really need CM's capable on the ball and have the ability to get the ball forward quickly. Verratti would fit that bill.

In any case, it is my understanding that PSG will need to sort the books out because of FFP (they obviously don't need the money) but I think they will have to sell, especially if they want to buy anyone this summer.

So you want verratti to perform the role that pogba played that is why our midfield target should be pellegrini and Cristante

I'm not saying we SHOULDN'T go after Pellegrini or Cristante. Both good prospects but who do you think would have more of an immediate impact?

Don't know him but there's another young Brazilian in our radar. Lucas Paquetá from Flamengo.

Rumors are we had Juve scouts watching him last Saturday.

This Lucas fella any good?
