You do realize that this is what we do every year..
We had an awesome midfield in 2015 then we sold Vidal and then sold Pogba to get Higuain instead -> Weakened the midfield and strengthen the attack..
I personally would prefer keeping A.Sandro as I dont think there is any other LB who can compete with him at the moment except Marcelo. Yes this season wasnt his best but just look at Asamoah - He barely tries anything and usually pass it back. Its good that he doesnt lose the ball on his own but he doesnt offer much to the build up.
As for Dybala - He is a great player with great shots but something isnt clicking - Yes his stats are great but something is still missing.. Sell him or keep him?! I think we will sell him for around 160M. My wish is to keep every good player we have and strengthen the weakest areas so of course I`d like him to stay but this is what we do - unfortunately..

What do you think this mercato is going to look like (I mean what do you think will happen not what would you want to happen)?
P.S should I be scared of -rep?! It means nothing anyway..

Post 4459 is my realistic/pessimistic expectations for the summer.

Expect a huge mercato this year. In 2 years we are changing completely our defense (5 players!), our attack and 1/2 of midfield. It would be a shot as to how the returning players will adapt, but I think the board has ideas about them already. Spina and Caldara would have to fail here to leave imho.

We are working on Can, since that will give us breathing room this summer on the cost of higher payments later on(salary, bonuses). If that fails I would expect us to be very close to loan of Pogba or some complicated midfielder deal.

And we want to or rather have to revamp the attack too. Perhaps worst case scenario Mandzukic is gone and Pjaca is back, but I think its time to sell Cuadrado too, esp if he can't make it as a RB.

We could easily spark a bidding war between PSG and United, both teams are in desperate need for a decent left back. 70mil is a fair evaluation.

Mandzukic and Cuadrado alone must provide around 50 mils in today's market. These are not players we are actively trying to get rid of, but starters for most other teams.

Khedira,Marchisio and Sturaro are more questionable in terms of receivables, but their wages and bonuses make up for it(the first two). I would leave 1 of them here - and frankly let the market dictate which one.

Sandro and Dybala are the two big questions. If they leave its 200 M and probably the last thing we would need if we are going for a lot of other players. I expect us to buy first even if we have lined up deals for both.

Either way we could be spending more than 150M this summer easily, along with the full payment for Costa. Pogba or SMS are real targets imho.

PP: It might be best for our transfer market if we stop Inter and allow Milan to get into CL. Lazio are another big NO in CL for us, if we are after SMS.

The links to Thiago Silva actually make sense. We need a defender to play the ball from the back and he's comfortably better at doing that than Benatia or Chiellini. Basically he would fill the void left by Bonucci. But he needs to be paired with an agile CB to form an effective partnership.

oh I agree. we gave them a WC striker and they gave us what, 4 youngsters on loan with a fucking option to buy? it still makes me mad we actually paid money for Bentancur and will have to pay more to Boca if we ever sell him, donating Tevez was one of our worst moves ever.

If we sell him for a sum below 60M I`d be very surprised and I think Marotta should step down if it happens... Vidal was his one and only mistake and this should never happen again..

The funny thing - Other teams take their players and put a high valuation despite them wanting out and eventually they are sold for around that sum - We should stop play nice and follow this example

Thing is Pogba was always going to leave at some point, it actually doesnt bother me that he's gone, it's how Vidal left and was replaced with hernanes that still troubles me, no matter how people try and sugar coat that we sold Vidal for cheap and replaced him with hernanes just doesn't cut it with me

Buying Higuain doesn't bother me either, He's really not a terrible player that many here make him out to be, when people actually start realising that Allegri cannot build an attack and relies on them improvising each week feeding off scraps because the midfield is utterly shit the better, it wouldn't make a difference whether we have messi or ronaldo in there too the outcome will be similar

in hindsight, not buying Nainggolan in 2014 was a mistake. we had our Vidal replacement lined up and missed out to not a financial powerhouse, but Roma. there is no way 20M in 4-5 installments was too expensive for us, Europa League or not
