I want someone on the same level as Pjanic and Matuidi as our 3rd CM and then Can as the guy who can fight for a spot in the starting XI, and if in doings so he wins a spot and shows that he can develop into a word class player here, great.

Can as our big signing, with Cristante/Pellegrini still leaves us light on true top class quality in our starting mid. Maybe we're all wrong on just how good Cristante is, as he is only 22 and in the midst of a fantastic season (I believe he's scored 10 goals), but right now he's still too much of an unknown for me to be the only signing alongside Emre Can.

Cristante, Darmian, Han, and Can, altho early that is a mercato of Inter.

The rebranding is bringing in the dollars. Destroy your history and what makes you stand out to look liek a another generic Aldi-brand :genius:

Imagine we replace Sandro with Darmian what a complete disaster

We need to stop with these quick and cheap fixes

it's only a rumour for now but I really hope it doesn't happen

Pjanic is world class, Matuidi is hard working and dependable, Marchisio is terminally injured and not getting any younger. Can, Cristante, and Bentancur are all decent rotation options and unknown quantities, but nothing to get really excited about. A 7/10 midfield.

Just remember the great midgield from a few years consisted of a free perceived past it pirlo on a free. A young freebie french guy who was a no one and vidal who was not considered world class and did not cost much...marchisio a youth product.

My point is we dont have to spend 500m on midfielders, we just have to find players who are ready to step it up to the next level.

Can on a free is a great deal. I think he is underrated here. Cristante for 25m is peanuts in todays world of 200m transfer fees. If we can land one more that would be good. Need to inject youth into this team.

It's not just about youth, but also quality. If we're unwilling to spend money because that filthy Jew is too much of a scrooge, then at least target quality players with potential. What the fuck do we have scouts for?

Don't just go for the freebies and the "safe" Italian options.
