How much does Milinkovic Savic cost? Igli Tare answers : "On Sergej I could not make evaluations, but 70 million are too few, we have already rejected offer like that at summer .. interest from real madrid ?? no offer came from them "

If we win the league I would expect a typical average mercato

If we lose the league I think we will have a better mercato and management will have to sign better players

Just my opinion

I expected angry reactions after 2 lost CL finals but it got worse and worse

That's where you're wrong

We are not Real Madrid with pile of cash sitting behind us that a 2nd place would suddenly be a kick in the ass for us and would push us to sign top players

So you'd rather "better players" than winning titles?
I didn't say that

Do I think we would improve more if we lost the league this season? Yes i believe so

I think if we win the league the management will not change too much next season and we'll see some average or promising players come in

If Napoli pip us to the Scudetto the management will get a wake up call and their hand will be forced to significantly improve the first team

Of course I want us to win the league but if it doesn't happen I won't be that upset about it as I think we will improve in the long term because of the failure to win it and doing everything we can to not allow Napoli to win another

How about better players and winning titles? They aren't mutually exclusive you know; one doesn't preclude the other.

Tbh, if we find ourselves falling behind, I'd like a wealthy owner who actually gives a fuck. This whole FIAT and Italian Pride BS is overwrought, especially if we fall by the wayside in Europe.

I think it would somewhat force the hand of the management and I have no doubt the transfers will be different depending on the outcome of the Scudetto

This is my opinion i'm not saying it's fact but what I believe

The point of improving is to win titles right?

So why lose a title to get players to win a title?

In Vialli's dream, we lose the Scudetto and buy better players...

It's not like I have a button to press and can decide on the outcome of the Scudetto

I'm just giving my opinion that I think our approach to the mercato will be different depending on if we win or lose the Scudetto

You are basing your opinion on feelings. What you feel/believe. Your opinion is invalid until you produce a proper argument.

Instead you should look at the reality. We have a clear business plan with a defined budget. We've got a set of standards and dogmas; not entering bidding wars as an example. We've won 6 Scudettos in a row and been in 2 CL-finals the last 3 years. There's nothing in the way Marotta, Nedved, Agnelli and Elkann does business that points towards a "revolution" if we don't win Serie A, au contraire.

You might be right. But even if you are so, it's a matter of 'even a blind chicken finds a kernel of corn now and then'.

Your opinion = your hope.
