I’d like us to try a proven non-Italian coach just for once. A new mentality, a different tactical approach to football.
Poach Guardiola lol

Seriously though: I'd sign Sarri. He's Italian obviously, but his style is a lot more aggressive. He might not win the league as easily, but I think with our team he'd be a monster in Europe. Against Real last year, with a greatly inferior team, really made a game of it. With a strong starting 11, I think he could coach dominant teams. And don't forget Higuain loves him.

Sarri with pathetic record in Europe I think Di Francesco should be someone who we should consider along with Simone inzaghi

Guardiola is too stubborn to adjust in Europe and without Messi + Xaviesta to bail him out he looks fucking lost. His away CL record is pathetic too.

One thing's for sure, we need a manager that has a totally different mindset from Conte and Allegri and whatever other 'traditional' Italian coach there is

Attack is the best form of defence in the Europe, as we see with our mighty 'Best Defence in the World' regularly shipping 3 and 4 goals to the big boys in the CL and even to Spain in the Euro 2012 final.

Although, regardless of who comes in we need a vastly superior midfield to actually be able to attempt to control the game against any opposition.

Pathetic?
Don't know about that.

1) EUROPA LEAGUE - Lost in knockouts again Villareal in his first year. We lost with Conte against Benfica - Very similar, except Conte was dealing with a team he coached for seasons, while Sarri was coaching his first club.
2) UCL 2016-2017 - Milik gets hurt in first couple of games, and he converts Mertens into a striker. They lost in round of 16, and despite losing 3-1 in both legs, Napoli gave them quite a scare.
3) UCL 2017-2018 - Undoubtedly a disappointment with the performance against the Shaktar being the biggest problem. But remember Conte lost against Galatasaray.

At the same time - also remember that his team is limited - The only players who are Juventus quality are: Insigne, Mertens, Koulibaly, and Ghoulam. The rest - nope.

I'm not on the sarri hype train but i'd welcome him here to see what he can offer.

I'd love to see us for once focus on getting the best out of our attacking talent. Instead of spending all season trying to 'perfect' our defence only to get 3-4 smashed past us when it matters.

:sarri:
Losing 6-2 on aggregate, 3-1 home and away, is quite a scare. :lol2:

And that was a Madrid just off finishing 2nd in their group behind Dortmund and Ronaldo in poor form. Madrid (and Ronaldo) peaks when they need to, QFs onward.

It's like all the praise they got this year for getting spanked by an overrated City.

All one needs to know about Sarri is he's been embarrassed in Champion's League, Europa League, and Coppa Italia in each of the three years he's been at Napoli, with the 2nd best team in Italy. He's utter rubbish in cup competitions. Losing to and getting knocked out by the likes of Villarreal, Shaktar, RB Leipzig in Europe, and Inter and Atalanta in Coppa.

But let's sign Sarri for European success. :baus:

Allegri finally realised he cannot deliver the champions league title with management policy of selling players to buy players so he has decided to quit
The quality of our players is clearly not the reason why we can’t score a single goal against Real Madrid or Barcelona in 270 minutes of playing them this season.

Roma put up a better fight against Barcelona than we did, and they have clearly worse players than us. What is Allegri’s excuse now?

Brandt has just extended his contract until 2021 and is going to stay for at least another season.

Under no circumstances ll Schalke sell Harit this summer, after already losing Goretzka and Meyer and who knows whats going to happen with Kehrer.
I was really suprised about Brandt extending his contract. I was sure he was going to go to Bayern this summer.

Sad to hear about Harit. Seems very promising when ever I seen him play. Do you think he will move next year?

Finally somebody reasonable. Sarri is the man to get if Allegri leaves. Other alternatives should be Poch or Jardim. I really want somebody who will be able to give our team a clear identity, and hopefully an identity focusing on attack more than defense.

Not sure about Sarri. I’d prefer an outsider.

But really it will come down to the squad we have, who’s leaving after this season and who will be brought in.

We can have the best coach in the world and he won’t make a difference on the big stage if we don’t have world class talent.

Thats a given. There is only so much a coach can do, if the material is not up to standards.

I like the coaches who are able to transfer a style of play to their teams, more than the more pragmatic coaches. So for me a coach like Ancelotti is a no go, even with his proven track record. I would much rather take a risk with somebody like Sarri. I think he will do an amazing job here, and it would be more entertaining watching Juve games two times a week.
