with all the respect many of us knew that higuain deal was a disaster. we bought Higgy in order to get closer to the Cl trophy which we didnt, we paid way more than we should and we could get cheaper younger and no less talended stricker. what i'm saying is that many of us never respected higuain anyway and now its tthe moment of "i told you so" !

For example, who was that "cheaper, younger and no less talented striker" that we could buy instead of Higuain when we bought him?

Maurizio Sarri has asked for Miralem Pjanic & Gonzalo Higuain. The striker is a sort of football son for the coach but is also courted by #ACMilan. Gonzalo would not say no to Milan but would prefer #CFC to embrace Sarri. The situation is in progress. (calcionews24) #Juventus

Chelsea are ready to launch an assault for Daniele Rugani, Miralem Pjanic, and not forgetting Gonzalo Higuain for a triple operation worth over 200 million Euros. #CFC #Juventus (calcionews24)

Chelsea could attempt the final acceleration in the next hours with Juventus. Fali Ramadani is in Italy and Marina Granovskaia, Roman Abramovich's right-hand, will arrive in Italy tomorrow. #CFC #Juventus (calcionews24)

I really don't think Juventus want to sell Caldara to Milan. The reason why we are engaging with Milan is that Chelsea is stalling on Higuain and at this point they are the only foreign club interested that could afford his wages and transfer fee (Bayern, Manchester clubs, Arsenal, PSG, Spanish clubs etc not interested). From our perspective we have to at least create the impression that another club is interested to force Chelsea's hand. Clearly selling both Rugani and Higuain to Chelsea for a combined fee of give or take EU100m is the most desirable outcome - AND THEY KNOW THAT.

Milan are paying Bonucci I think 8-10m a year NET and they would need to pay Higuain the same salary 7.5m net. Bonucci would need to accept a hefty pay cut to come back to Juventus. But then they would need a defender. Hence the interest in Caldara. Which is why Juventus will try to offer them Benatia instead - or at the very worst hand over Caldara as a pure loan with no option to buy.

To me this all seems quite unlikely. Bonucci would need to be sold for 32m to avoid making a loss and we need to sell Higuain for at least 55m for the same reason.

Other thing to watch is Tottenham. If Real Madrid decide to go for Kane, they might step in for Higuain too - who knows.

with 94 Mil - Cavani, Obamyang, since its pre neymar-psg deal we could probably get lewandowski as well. i'm sure there are few more names i forgot.
point is for a player costs that much you would expect much more impact at high levels. besides, there are plentty 40 mil forwards who would do just fine in scudetto battle.
i might have used a bit exaggerated word such as "disaster" since he wasnt that bad, all i'm saying is we could do much better with that money.
now we are stack with unsellable old, expensive and well paid problem

Absolute bull$#@!.

The only reason we are selling him is because of CR7. His time here hasn’t been a “disaster” either. It’s been successful, obviously would have been more successful if we landed the CL.

Oh and to the idiots who say we only won Serie A with him (as if that’s not something to brag about), we might not have won it last season if it wasn’t for his goal against Inter. He also carried us plenty of times in first season with us, in the CL as well.

He’s come up big for us plenty of times whilst playing for us. He deserves better than us fobbing him over to a $#@!ty mediocre Meelahn of all clubs.
It's really simple. In Serie A he has been mostly a success, in CL mostly a failure. And we didn't pay 90 million for him for Serie A. It's pretty clear.

Also, we're not selling him only because of CR. He was on his way out even before with Icardi rumors, even Lewandowski etc. It was clear we were looking for another expensive striker. One way or another, he was leaving.

Yes, we would've won Serie A without him last year because we would've had another striker and probably more money for a midfielder if we didn't overpay him so much. You can't just subtract him from the team, other players would've been there if not for him.

Also, yes, he scored the crucial goal vs Inter, but that was only one of two in the last FOURTEEN rounds. Where was he in all other games? You can't just praise him for that one goal and forget how God awful he was in 10 other games to close the season. He missed super easy chances in games vs Crotone and SPAL that we drew. If he scores those the title is never in question to close the season.

He deserves what he gets. Nobody owes him anything. Juve deserved a better striker in CL, so what. Good riddance.

1. Cavani is not younger but older (8 months approximately..)
2. Aubi one Kanobi is a different player to Higuain and when we bought Higuain I dont think anyone would even think of him as better than Higuain..

Its easy to say things in hindsight but you need to take few things into consideration when saying there were better options:
1. Higuain played for our rival - Getting Higuain of their hands basically handed us the scudetto the following season as it got us a reliable goal scorer and took one from Napoli
2. Higuain just finished a record breaking season - There was no hotter player than him on the market (as an option for us to sign so dont name Messi and Ronaldo)

Relating to other news Milan want our players: Gonzalo Higuain, Mattia Caldara, Mehdi Benatia and Marko Pjaca
They can take everyone but Caldara as much as Im concerned that is if we get Godin - Pjaca 20M Higuain 60M while Benatia cancels Godin..

Juve looking to Godin?
By Football Italia staff

Juventus are keen on signing Atletico Madrid’s Uruguayan defender Diego Godin, according to reports.

The Old Lady are on the hunt for new defensive recruits, with Daniele Rugani likely to join Chelsea.

They are also being heavily linked with a reunion with Milan captain Leonardo Bonucci, who they only sold to the Rossoneri last summer – as well as Godin’s Atleti teammate Stefan Savic.

According to TMW Web, Godin fits exactly the profile of player that the Bianconeri are looking to bring in this summer – those ready to win immediately.

At 32, Godin is at the peak of his powers and has established himself as one of European football’s finest defenders during his time in the Spanish capital.

Rojiblancos boss Diego Simeone does not want to lose one of his key players, but Juve are claimed to have already offered Godin a three-year contract on wages of €6m a season.

Well,Cavani is also a31 years old (born 1987),so he is not younger.I don't think that PSG owner will let him go back then when they don't have Neymar.Even if he let him go,do you nearly know what is Cavani's salary? Nearly 13mil. eur.Higuain's is 7.5 mil per year.
Obamyang is not a classic centre forward and not comparable to Higuain.
There is no way that Bayern would let Lewandowski go back then.
So ,back than ,there weren't any "Younger, cheaper and better" strikers when we bought Higuain.
And he wasn't bad at all these two years.
If we didn't bring Ronaldo probably he will be our main striker for the next season.
