Problem with Losing both Keita and Shick is that arguably they are the two best offensive talent in Serie A under 23 years old bar Dybala. They were attainable at bargain prices and we had leverage to get them both.
Transfer fees exploded and the coming years we want have chances like to get talent like these two at 30mil.
So we may not needed them now, but it would've been a great plan for the future.

Keita is a very good talent but not THAT good. He has an attitude problem and a workrate problem. Schick looks great, that one I believe in more. Yet he is VERY unproven, it would been a nice gamble.

Better attacking talents than Keita in Serie A are many. Dybala, Icardi, Belotti, Bernardeschi are better. Anderson too since he is consistently better in his own team. Then you have Chiesa who looks dead set to be a big player. Others are around his level (Suso et al).

We believed in Dybala's level and went big right away. Same from Bernardeschi. Not the same for Keita.

There were rumours earlier in the transfer window that Inter offered 60m for both. Crazy, really.

I think we have been saving money in transfer window so that we could invest such amount out of the 40 million euros 20 million euros is performance related bonus

He's expected to have a medical for WBA according to the media.
