Yeah I hope badly we sign Nzonzi, but that ship has sailed it seems, been cold for 2 months almost? Matuidi talk has been around for almost 2 years, and all sources saying its about to happen.
Paratici was evidently at the sevilla game like a week or two ago, then a couple days after, Nzonzi asked to be sold. Nothing but silence since then. Thing is how many clubs are out there that are a step up from Sevilla that also need a mid like Nzonzi? It's a short list, and juve is at the top.
B2B, a very strong engine. Basically a power house with decent technique but can't get past his man. Although that is seldom required of him. In Juve terms, a taller and stronger but less technical Vidal so he will not cause as much offensive havoc as Vidal (both in terms of technique and off ball movements).
I like him but I may have seen too little of him to pass a fair judgment. More mobile than Khedira and would offer a bit more grinta and speed in comparison. But I also value Khedira's skills, sooo... I dunno. Against bigger teams I would field N'Zonzi, against other teams I would field Khedira for his smartness on the pitch and his potency in the offensive box (albeit he seldom scores).
Maybe Bentancur breaks out like Pogba did, where much wasn't expected that first year with the club. Everyone talks highly of him and he's impressed me in preseason. He could be the reason we're not willing to drop 40m+ on a mid.

TBH there are clubs in England (Arsenal) who could do with him as well. Im surprised big english clubs havent gone in for him, ok Man Utd and City dont need him but the other big teams all could consider him imo.

When we had Pogba at the beginning we had top class midfield so we could afford his type of "gamble" and team didnt suffer in quality. Now we are in a situation where there is a bit less overall quality there. And every new face should be improvement. If we have ambitions like CL then we cant just gamble on the hope that Bentancur comes good. His time could come in 2-3 years time.

What other big clubs are there outside of those you listed though? Chelsea doesn't need him they just bought bakayoko. And Arsenal is only an upgrade financially.
As for Bentancur, a trio of Marchisio, Matuidi, and Pjanic might not be on the level that we had back then but it's still very good. People hate on matuidi but his game compliments Pjanic very well. He's a ball winning engine. Isn't that what we need?

Nzonzi has past history playing in EPL, so many teams will value that. I think he is upgrade over Sissoko (Tottenham).
I did not say big clubs, i said clubs. Tottenham, Pool, Everton possibly who have new owners and making signings. There are couple of other teams who could afford him but less attractive options like West Ham.

Well i think Tottenham, Pool, Everton are still bigger than Stoke where he played in the past. 2 of them play in CL this season. So are top 4-5 clubs not midtable clubs. Tottenham finished 2nd last season, Pool 4th. Stoke finished 13th.
