people are just never excited when rotation players are improved. they always want better starting players, but everyone forgets there is 55 games in a season and in order to make best players perform at the top level, they need to be rested.

my point: all midfielders that were linked to us are better than lemina and Rincon.

so shut up

Yeah, not to mention that Lemina and Sturaro werent even treated like CMs but wingers by our coach after sticking to 4231. One MF buy and Bentancour and our midfield is complete, this will also allow us to play trio midfield if its needed as we will also have Sturaro. I still dont trust Khedira but club decided to stick with him so we can do nothing.
Anyway if Claudio gets back to his best we will have great midfield again.

For some reason I actually believe the report Marotta is after Strootman. He just fits and is a more rounded player than Nzonzi while also being familiar with the league. He's worth 45m. Rotating with Marchisio would be good for both their careers and when we go 433 he compliments well.

Couldn't agree more. Now we also have depth on the wings. We do need a CM signing for the bench but as you've said the names we've been linked with are closer to khedira (if not better) quality than Lemina quality. This is only good news.

problem is the only midfielder we got so far is Betancur.
It's 12/08/2017 so it's kind of late.
Marchisio and Khedira aren't getting younger nor healtier so we needed a "starter" knowing that Khedira next year will go playing his last years in America

I'm not gonna shut up. If you don't want to read what I, or others for that matter, have to say, you are free to fuck off elsewhere

Matic, Fabinho, Strootman, Goretzka and Nzonzi would've been clear improvements; I can agree to that.

An inexperienced and error prone Can, and a 30 year old Matuidi with no resale value are most definitely not.

What if Marchisio doesn't regain that form? What if Khedira is out for 2-3 months? Sturaro, Matuidi, and Bentancur as midfield options would potentially have disastrous consequences, especially in the CL.

You make it sound like Spinazzola is a shit player.

Which he is certainly not.

Oh, that door is wide, wide open.........................
I'm not saying he is. I just don't want licht or de sciglio anywhere near the starting line up and asamoah for that matter too so I had hoped we would sign spin and a proper rb too

Goretzka Bayern bound. also number 8.
Mautidi, probably the best option after Strootman, also low cost. experience and quality.
Strootman, best option.
Fabinho. l see him and Mbappe leaving Monaco for PSG.
Matic, l'd not have spent 45-50 m euros on him.

I read that we had broken even on transfers this summer.

We made the most cash from anyone in the CL last season (and a couple of year's ago too). I can't believe the standard of player we have been looking at for midfield and that we seem happy with De Sciglio or Spinazzola at right back.

IN:
Keita
N'Zonzi / Can
Spinazzola

Out:
Asamoah

So I think more or less this is gonna happen in the next 2-3 weeks of the mercato.

Would be a 8.5/10 mercato for me.

Great buys, a lot of young players/talents bought, great for the future. But the loss on Bonucci and Alves is not really covered at the moment and we still lack a great midfielder too. Problem is, that there is not really a WC option available in midfield without overpaying unfortunately.
