1 verratti is better than 2 or 3 average overpriced midfielders.

i've already given up trying to find some sense in this inflated market and recent prices, so honestly i can't really tell how much verratti should cost once he's getting sold. i'm just saying that juve is not a club with a rock stable 5-600m yearly revenue, and 120m + 10m net wages might be too much. basically any pl club or the spanish big ones could offer much more to him than juve.

i sincerely hope that i'm wrong, but i have a feeling that our best chance of winning the cl was during the last 3 seasons. i can't see juve win that shit for an other 5 years. and that's something verratti (and other top players) will also consider.

Here in France, plenty of people doubted his age at the time before he joined Bayern. And that was before Roux's statements. French twitter had plenty of bad jokes, and how he looked older. Including from consultants, and some journalists...

I don't care about Roux, I just want to say it didn't start because of him.

Because Guy Roux made a comment, how ridiculous that it'd have to be proven. Roux must be about 90 years old by now, he probably doesn't even know what day of the week it is

It is an easy task to figure out someone's real age. I don't know why clubs don't like the idea. Make it a standart procedure for all players regardless of nation, then you don't have anything to worry about racism claims.

Well what can I say, you are right I wouldnt refuse any of them, but for me Veratti isnt on this level. He is great player but not in the same league and I consider him really injury prone, which is big factor when ur making 100m+ signing and huge wages.

I'd imagine the registering standard in hospitals varies a lot between countries, the level of competence and infrastructure is not going to be as high in a third world village as it is in a European city.

It's very difficult to check for a person's true age. The only thing we really have is birth certificates we know are accurate.

Otherwise it's mostly an educated guess that could be as much as 5 years off easy. You probably think a bone scan gives an exact age. It doesn't. You read somewhere that this is how they do it, but you never bothered to check how accurate it is.

That's why when someone claims to be 140 we don't run tests to see if it's true, but we ask for a birth certificate.

I want to add it's only somewhat "easier" to check when the person is supposedly 12-14yo, because a simple scan on cartilages can show it if you're in fact 20yo+, especially on women.

When you're an adult, it's not easy at all.

There's actually lots of doubts about players coming from africa.

You can find rumors about plenty of them, even Aurier or Seri.

As I said, you can only check a few things when people are actually still kids growing. But if a 30yo looks like a 20yo (it happens), good luck. You can't.

That's why many countries like France fail to properly check if all those migrants that say they are under 18yo are actually telling the truth. Because many people stop growing at 16-17, and they can't check if a person is 17 for real or 25.

Some lies about their ages, because in many countries like France, you have more rights as a minor.

I don't trash anyone here, nor telling migrants are bad or anything, just stating things.
