I sure hope that's not how the management decides transfers.
Well its how FFP works. Its based on a loss formula over a rolling 3 years and its based on accounting profit and loss relative to revenue. FFP actually benefits big clubs vs small clubs as a result.

So those are the basic parameters and is how the management looks at the books - rather than just looking at transfer fees on their own.

Reality is, we could spend a lot more. Reason why they use bonuses as a %age of the total is it helps the accounting. For example, 40+10 for a 5 year contract means you amortize at 8m vs 10m. If bonuses are triggered its usually commensurate with higher revenues from winning trophies, prize money etc.

Sky:

Juve chasing a mid and there are 3 players so far

- Can. It will be difficult because Klopp rates him and even more difficult because they already sold Lucas to Lazio
- Matuidi, but links are cooling off
- Matic: now a priority. But Chelsea asks for a lot money

We're getting a kid for Primavera. Sandro Kulenovic.

Inter offering 50mln for Vidal.

QS saying we'll go after Belotti if we sell Higuain to Chelsea.

Inter ready to offer 22mln + 3mln bonuses for Keita.
Vidal already said no to Inter so I dont see any point of them bidding for him
Belotti if Higuain leaves?! 1. I thought we rejected Chelsea 2. Why Belotti (who is a bit overrated anyway) and not pay for Mbappe

Are we in trouble with FFP?

Well, maybe you should chill and go out for a walk or smth. I havent been really drama about the Berna thing. We made some offers, its obvious that Fiorentina prefer full cash. We deal with cash + Sturaro or other random player. They want to get around 45-50m for him. But we dont want to overpay. And its Fiorentina. So its not going to be easy to negotiate that deal. But there is 1.5 month of the mercato left. And it seems the player really wants us. Otherwise he would be in Milan by now already lol.
They want 45, in the end they'll get 45+ Sturaro. At least once Marott will get the upper hand :D

Offer 35 mil and a new wig for conte
Matic is a quality player. He was amazing for U-21, he was amazing for Benfica and he did great at Chelsea imo. There's no way he'd cost so low.

Vidal already said no to Inter so I dont see any point of them bidding for him

Maybe it was media BS that he said no. If they keep pushing it says it's possible.

If we rejected Chelsea it doesn't mean they can't buy him. Maybe we'd accept a higher offer. As for the second part, I don't know, but I'd assume it's because we have no chance of landing Mbappe simply because elite clubs can sign him. There's no way we could compete with Real.

Btw, I'm not saying we're selling Pipita. Just common sense out rejecting offers.

No not at all.

Just saying that's how they look at budgets etc.

So for instance - Matic at 40m for a 30 year old means a 3-4 year contract with wages of at least 4.5m net - costs us 18m a year
But a mid that costs 60m who is young can go on a 5 year contract say at wages of 3m net would cost the club EXACTLY the same - with higher resale value.

Hence someone like Kroos even at 60-70m is not much more expensive than Matic at 40m for instance.

I know, what I mean is that the real financial analysis should be at least as important as the FFP analysis.

seems we are getting this guy from Legia as a part of Paquato deal:
https://www.transfermarkt.pl/sandro-kulenovic/profil/spieler/357778

Sources in Poland say he's already training with us.
Heard he was some proper star in Dinamo's youth teams before moving to Legia. Scored twice in Youth League last season, vs Sporting and Real.

We have also signed some dude from Luzern

Higuain was always a great striker even before he became a monster at Napoli
Belloti is a great striker but I cant see him going the Higuain way.. Belloti to me is a player who knows how to put himself in the right position in the right time - Pass.. I want better than just a finisher.. Dont care if he has a Real Madrid tattoo on him - Go to Monaco and wrap up the deal silently and quickly so other wont join in a bidding war!

Matič would be a good buy. Not a world beater, but would improve Khedira IMO. It's a tough choice between him and Bernardeschi as the latter is very talented, but obviously a starter CM is more needed than a backup winger.
