Me thinks not. As far as Italy is concerned, he`s an Ivorian player who doesnt have an EU citizenship and he`s not playing in Italy already, so if a club from Serie A captures him, he would take 1 non-EU quota..

I don't think transfer fees are the problem. Juve can pay even 100m if they want.

But Juve refuses to offer crazy wages, and the Serie A seems less attractive than Liga, the PL.

That said, I think the main problem is the wages.

Seeing is believing. Last season we bought big in Italy and that was thanks to release clauses. The season before we bought big in dybala. Europe, is a different matter. Our wage structure isnt too bad. It's mainly the level of competition, shrewd bidding and negotiation. European clubs don't want montragora on loan in return. we dont do bidding wars. It isn't us and never has been.

You can never 100% trust a media when PSG never releases actual contracts details, but anyways.

In the article, you can see Thiago Silva earns +12m per year WITHOUT bonus, which in PSG are in MILLIONS per year (and PSG pays a good part of all their players expenses, and even some taxes). TS earns at least more than 15m euros for sure.

Does higuain earns as much? I bet not.

EDIT: just to be clear, I don't think what PSG is doing is good, but they overpay because no one would sign there if they wouldn't.

I'rm not sure about that. If TS is paid 15m a year, he doesn't pay half in taxes, because PSG as said above pays some of their player taxes (in the sense that they pay their player more than the actual salary to cover a part of the taxes).

What PSG is doing is so weird that even the french tax collectors have doubts about it being legal. Example: Pastore has problems due to that right now.
