Some guy on Tuttojuve saying Juve have been working on a deal to bring in a top player, someone that hasn't been mentioned in media at all.
Reminds me of the Tuttosport scoop that said a South American star has been looking for a house in Turin last mercato

as if Verratti is on the market and available.looks like Barca offering 80 m euros after their 100 m euros offer was rejected?

in any case, Verratti has no space in our double pivot. On the other hand, Fabinho would be interesting. l don't know why we didn't go for Bakayako.
Not even 80, 70m.

The usual "crappy offer + we are Barca be proud we're interested in one of your players"

The thing is, their fans really believe they will get verratti, and on top of that for cheap :sergio:

edit: by tomorrow, their next offer will be 50m, and SPORT, and MD will say PSG is OK with it.

Why would PSG, after Verratti, sell another mid? Doesn't make sense
Verratti is not gonna be sold... they don't give a shit about players' feelings and "oh I want to leave".. they say fuck you, we paid, and paying still, very good money so stfu. that's not a bad attitude, but it will cause problems with some players (and some agents...)

That's the point.

PSG wants to buy MBappé, but MBappé (even if Monaco was willing to sell, which they are not) knows that if he signs there, PSG will refuse to sell him to Madrid before he finishes his contract there (or close to it).

Just as you said, many players that would expect PSG to be a transition club don't want to enter a "prison" that they can't leave.

We'd sell Pjanic for AT LEAST 40mln. That's like 40-50mln for Verratti. I'd rather see that than to see us spend 40mln on Bernardeschi. Or 40mln on Costa. Or 80mln on both.
We bought him for 32M so I doubt we would sell for 40M...
Pjanic would cost at least 55M if we were to sell him and even then I believe it will be closer to 60M...
Pjanic is a good player so I hope he remains but he is not irreplaceable..

As for wings Costa seems like a done deal to me so the question is who will join along with him - Bernardeschi? Keita? Di Maria? Lemar? I think we are serious about Bernardeschi so unless something dramatic happens with Keita my guess is we get Bernardeschi with Keita arriving at 2018 - Honestly I think Keita will be a very good LW in our system, Costa is a gamble to me as he is great IMO but the question is how suitable he is to our formation.
CM - Nzonzi? he is ok I guess but I really hope we make a surprise bid for Keita - this guy has a star written all over him - If we get him he`ll be sold to Real or Barcelona for 100M+ 2 seasons later

- - - Updated - - -

We signed Nicolas Penner. He's 16yo regista.

It seems we already asked for Darmian but there's a problem with Mourinho who doesn't want to let him go.

More Fabinho, Fabinho, Fabinho news. He's ahead of N'Zonzi now.
Darmian - he is ok but nothing special IMO..
Fabinho - He would be a great signing as he is a very good CM and a very good RB

God I miss the times we had Pogba and Vidal - what an amazing mid - now look at our central mid.. not even a shadow of what it once was...

They said we needed an evolution and not a revolution but with pricks like Alves going and with other rumours I'm afraid were falling into just that. Bearing in mind that Madrid has been dominant in CL with very few changes in these past 2-3 years.

Right now, we need to make 5-6 changes and there might be more if Alex sandro and cuadrado/licht leave.

Out of interest @Dujj - how was Matuidi's 2016/17 season compared to 2015/16?
Matuidi follows the usual pattern since a few seasons:

1/ Very good 2-3 months at the start of the season.
2/ Average for 2-3 months.
3/ Usually good close to the end of the season.

Matuidi has many flaws, but he has qualities that made every coaches he had put him in the starting 11 in the end:

- Ancelotti once said "who the f*** is this player with no skill, he can't even control half of the balls". In the end, Matuidi worked hard, and gained Carlo's trust. He was a main part of Carlo's tactic.

- Same with Blanc.

- Same with Emery last year. And Emery doesn't want to sell him.

He has four qualities that Coaches like a lot despite all his other flaws:

1/ Lots of stamina. He's 30 but can run at full speed during 90m.

2/ Bulldog that gets lots of balls back.

3/ Can score goals, and his left foot is very good for that. Without him PSG would not even be in CL this season. Yup, he saved PSG's ass a lot for three seasons in a row now.

4/ Very good mentality. He's a winner. That's why Zlatan liked him a lot. he never gives up.

Given all that, you can understand why PSG fans are thorn in two right now: those that want to sell him, and those that want to keep him because his qualities are too good despite all his flaws (and Emery wants to keep him).

As for my personal opinion, Matuidi has limits he can't overcome. He's frustrating when he misses passes, and his ball control is questionable. That's why he can NOT be your midfield leader. He needs 1 or 2 very high skilled partners that can do what he can't.

I am not one of his best fan. But I always admit that whenever a big game comes around, he's always amongs the best, or at least amongs the ones that give it all.

But I am not a coach. All I can tell you is that all the coaches he had loved him as a player depsite his flaws. That includes Carlo Ancelotti who's not a beginner coach I believe.
