Lets all look at our eyes, and accept that mbappe will not go unnoticed for the crazy spenders like real and manu. He WILL cost more than 100 mils and we all know that.

And i dont see anything that tell us he has feelings for juve

We basically spent 50 million on Pjaca and Caldara. One of them not even proven player in major league.

Why wouldn't we spend 100 million on Mbappe?

Isn't it 40? But anyway, it's because we spent money for Pjaca and Caldara in two different seasons.

Spending 100mln is a whole another story. In one summer for one player. Plus, not just 100mln for a transfer fee, but you should also calculate Mbappe's future wages, which would be what Pjaca and Caldara earn x5.

100M is a very steep price and I was against signing Higuain for 90M as we obviously paid a huge amount for a player that worth 60M IMO
Mbappe however is a different case! This is a guy who I hope we do spend the 100M for him since he is 18 years old + already world class + amazing eye for goal + can definitely play a bit wide which means he could definitely play LW and be the killer LW type
another option is the 4-3-2-1 I remember we played this once and Mbappe would be great for this as well
I think Mbappe could be the perfect candidate for every attacking position but the trequatista role which I doubt he can do well
The thought of Dybala Mbappe in our team will send a strong signal (especially if we make it a trio with Higuain)

Mbappe here means problems for Pjaca and Mandzukic. That might be both the bigger obstacle than his '100m' fee and also the solution.

Mandzukic is a man possessed this season. His workrate gives us an unbelievable bonus - one look at both Higuain and Dybala to spot it. They are trying to keep up and run their socks off too. But would Mandzukic do it in his new 3-4 year bumped contract? Besiktas are offering him 7m wages and probably more money to us than we bought him for too.

Pjaca was a huge investment and has a crappy year here, but could easily turn into 50+m player. Monaco were interested in him, Mbappe leaving would make him very interested in them too...
Bottom line - is Mbappe that good or is he overrated. Our players seemed to think he is that good and our management could evaluate him fully and seem convinced he is special.

Well considering his career and his last season you can never rule out injury with Khedira. Every season is different, next season injury issues might return.

Iniesta is class but yeah he is also getting older and might have injury issues creeping in and then we still will end up playing the Sturaros and Leminas in some big game. And he simply isnt a long term signing anymore. Replacing 30 year Khedira with 33 year old Iniesta at this stage is not the right way to go about. When we signed Pirlo who turned 33 in 2012 people were saying here that we just signed a washed-up hasbeen. Now people are going nuts over same age Iniesta. Interestingly Barca pretty much has no midfield this season. That includes Iniesta. He did bring a good save out of Buffon but he hasnt been the same player he was since euro16. He is getting old and i would like us to go sign a younger long term options instead. Otherwise in a year or two time we will have to replace all of the Marchisios, Iniestas and Khediras.
Agree  Lets look further down the age bracket. Lots of exciting talent to be found there anyway.

Keita has rejected Milan. He has an agreement with Juventus over a free move in 2018. (Il Tempo)

:beppe:

Juventus have an agreement with Keita (€2.5m/yr) & they're willing to sign De Sciglio. (La Stampa)

Juventus will offer €25m to sign Douglas Costa. Juve are also following Bernardeschi & Renato Sanches. (La Stampa)

Juventus have €128m to pay in the next transfer session. Schick will sign for Juventus. (La Stampa)

Douglas Costa would absolutely shine here. Would love to see him in Turin.

I still think Bernardeschi is overhyped. I'd stay away from him for at least one more year to follow his progress.

Schick looks really promising.

Why do you see Costa shine here? He's style is very similar to Cuadrado imo. What's more, according to people who observe Bundesliga, they also share their flaws - decision making. He could be useful in the CL but in Serie A a player like Bernardeschi is a better fit imo. He has more vision, better shot technique, can cover a lot of positions on the pitch. Not to mention he's younger and Italian. Obviously if the price for Berna is 50mln+ and D. Costa cost 25 mln then we should go for the Lolzilian.

Costa has a lot more power to him and he can give us a lot of pressure upfront. He's great for counters plus he can get past players quite easily. Look at Salah. The guy is completely brainless and just look at his stats. Sometimes those players are quite useful and imo we could use one of those. Plus, I also think he's not braindead like Salah and has more qualities to him.

Not to mention he's younger and Italian.
Him being Italian doesn't mean anything. We're done with years focusing on Italians only and we've made progress.

Sandro, Licht, Khedira, Pjanic, Mandzukic, Dybala, Higuain, Cuadrado. Look how many of our starting players aren't Italian. No need to mention the bench as well. Not just that but look at the players we sold: Pogba, Vidal, Tevez, Coman, Morata etc. It's majority of our best players and core of the squad, bar Coman.

I don't mind buying Italians. But only if they are top level or very promising which usually isn't the case. Buying Italians just for the sake of it means dogshit really.

Obviously if the price for Berna is 50mln+ and D. Costa cost 25 mln then we should go for the Lolzilian.
There's absolutely NOTHING that justifies the price of Berna who's rated above 50mln. That's just crazy and sad at the same time. He's simply not worth the risk while I can't say the same about Costa.

Paying 100M for Mbappe is insane. Only the PL clubs could be that retarded to spend that amount of money on a, basically, unproven player.
It's not insane. It's the inflated price and the guy is 19yo while it's crystal clear he's gonna be one of the best players in the world.

I'd rather buy him than Neymar too. Just look in what beast will Mbappe turn in a couple of years. But not just that: even this point he would easily walk into almost every top team in the world. I'll mention again: he's only 19!

Signing James Rodriguez for over 80mln was crazy, though.

Real signing a 16yo Vinicius Junior who hasn't played a match for 40mln euros is crazy.

Signing Mbappe for 100mln would be A LOT, but not crazy.
