Take out Emre Can and replace him with SMS. Ship out Sturaro, Barza retires, and get rid of some dead weight and we are good. :donedeal:
If Can is available on a free, there's no chance we'll be going for SMS instead. Maybe on top of it but if we're looking for only one CM addition; 0 instead of 70-80m is a no-brainer.

If we wanna penny pinch and sacrifice quality for mediocrity, then sure, let's go for Can. We should constantly look to upgrade the squad, and midfield has to be a priority next summer, provided we don't sell any of our key/star players.

We have weakened our defence and midfield strengthened our attack we need to sell our key players to fund mercato

No, we fucking don't. We're the 6 time Serie A champs ffs! We don't need to sell a key member of our team every fucking summer. In that case, we're never going to reach the level of Real and Bayern, let alone the likes of United and City soon enough; it's disgusting.

How about we add one or two quality players every summer, maintain our core, and only sell our deadwood for the the next 3-5 seasons, and see how that pans out. Are you telling me we can't spend 60-70 million net every summer? Come on!

I'm sure we can spend more than that. It's not logical that our budget is akin to that of a mid-table Serie A club, and inferior to the likes of Watford and Bournemouth. I'm sure it's just Beppe penny pinching.

I'm no expert, but a couple of the financial whiz masters explained our finances in detail in the financial thread. Go take a look, and let me know what you think.

I seriously have my doubts that beppe would penny pinch if we have cash available

The difference between Can and a hyped SMS is definitely not worth 70-80m. Every objective person will tell you that. A midfield that contains Matuidi, Pjanic, Can & Marchisio and Betancur is actuallt pretty good unless the latter fails to make a mark which is unclear at this point.

I'd say defence is where we need investments the most next season if nothing else happens this mercato... If then there is funds for an SMS investment; please by all means but you're hyping SMS and underrating Can here imho.

A budget is more than transfer sums 'though... Our salaries have increased exponentially in the last few years which is a huge cost.

gazzetta: inter is very close to keita, 3 milion salary
2 Years Loan with Obligation to Buy.l for 30m. Keita need to renew with Lazio first.

If this are OK. We should do too. He really has massive potential. And 30m is very Cheap especially for Young Potential Striker. We can always sell him if he failed here. Look at M. Niang in Milan, Flop but still can get offer for 20m from Russia

Please Beppe

Apparently the price is set for De Vrij.

Lazio would take 25mln euros offer until the end of the mercato as they'd sell him (for that figure obviously). If not they will renew his contract with a 2 year deal and with a 25mln release clause.

Laxalt catches Juve's eye
By Football Italia staff

Diego Laxalt impressed Juventus in Genoa’s 4-2 defeat, perhaps enough to earn him a transfer to Turin rather than Leonardo Spinazzola.

The 24-year-old Uruguay international surged up the left flank repeatedly during yesterday’s Marassi thriller.

According to Sportitalia, he caught the eye of Bianconeri directors and Coach Max Allegri.

Juve made no secret of the fact they were trying to bring back Italy international Spinazzola early from his two-season loan with Atalanta.

The Orobici refused to terminate the agreement and so he will remain in Bergamo for another season.

Curiously, one of Juve’s tactics for getting Atalanta to release Spinazzola was buying Laxalt and passing him on to the Bergamo boys.

Now it’s possible Laxalt will simply come to Turin himself for the left flank, where he’ll be the understudy to Alex Sandro.

With his arrival, Juve could then sell Kwadwo Asamoah to Galatasaray.
