Costa joined 2015. He was Pep player first season. And he only scored 4 goals in the league. Same this year. Even though number wise plenty of games. 50 apps in 2 Bundesliga seasons. 8 goals in total. You might now say, well they have Lewandowski for goals. Robben got 13 league goals this season. And he isnt even playing all the time cause of injury problems. Costa played 50 apps, Robben 41 in the last 2 seasons and got 17 goals.

There simply isnt enough end product with Costa. Also you say he isnt Ancelotti player, but Alexis is going to play same position by the looks of it. So Alexis is and Costa isnt?

I have to ask, how you define which player is manager x and which is manager y type player.

By looking at the fact said managers confine them to the fringes of the first team and are open to letting them leave?

Costa Robben comparisons won't solve much. Robben in his prime was/Is World Class and one of the finest attackers of his generation. The best right winger by a country mile. (I'm not counting Messi and his numerous roles)

Alexis is a different player to Costa. So not sure where you're going with that. Might as well compare Costa to Mandzukic because they occupy the same position on the pitch, despite being so different.

Like I said, i'm not some sort of big Costa fan. But dismissing players because they're not getting undisputed starter minutes at top clubs is pointless considering the players we've had since 2011 and their situations. And we don't have Real Madrid finance so throwing 100M at a top teams top player isn't a viable alternative.

There will be a major bidding war for Mbappe and he will go for more than 100 mils. I hope you all are clear on this before spilling your bullshid.
Take in consideration he is the most promising striker of the last 10 years because of his age, talent and goals. The guy has great physique, scores for fun, had great dribble , speed and seems to be up to the ocassion and focused. IMO he is THE striker of the future. But that will not come cheap.

I think Juve ve will buy a couple players in the range of 30. 40 mils and one big player. Thats it.

I dont know what will happen with Pjaca,... but maybe Juve will buy a Treq..and a player who can play on both wings to add to cuadrado, mandz and Pjaca. That way...we can use Mandzukic as a striker when we want to rest Higuain..and if theres an emergency..we will call Moist Keen.

Add to them a quality DM who can play on a line of 2...and Dsiglio. That will be our mercato most likely. Oh and Schick

this made me wonder how a team from Argentinas, Brazils, Uruguays, Paraguays, Perus, Chiles, Colombias, Bolivias, Ecuadors, Venezuelas and Mexicos best possible starting XI would look like, one player from each country. i dont know any player from Bolivia so i cant write my team

But then what do we do with the Fatman?

Some might not be the best players of each national team but you have to play with MSN up front :D

Now we need the European best starting XI

I'd pay 100mil for Mbappe and I would't even sweat it. Not to say I'm an expert on him since I have probably watched barely 5 Monaco games this season + all the youtube clips (but lets be honest, neither has anyone else), but I have yet to see a player so young be so mature in the box and so lighting fast and unpredictable. We were partly lucky he scored only once past us, as he is simply unmarkable in the six yard area and got a handful of fantastic chances; any other defense would've leaked a hat-trick probably. I don't see a single fault in his game aside from his small stature due to his age. Of course hundreds of young stars have faded fast before, but Mbappe has proved himself in very big games and on a consistent basis throughout the season. There's something different about him, just like a young Messi who was already a complete player in his teens.

I also can see why many are skeptical of his high price, but no one can doubt the obvious talent that is on display, and the only doubt is can he keep it up.
