Most will be loaned out unfortunately because they know we are desperate to get rid of them. Sad!
no one forced guintoli to

signing a player with expiring contract for 5 million and wages when money was issue

signing a 4th goalie for 20m when funds Are low and current goalkeeper has no offers to leave

At least five players will not be sold from those that remained in torino. Also i don't believe that we would be able to bring 4-5 players that are planed without panicking in the last days.

Good luck to Motta and Giuntoli creating a very shitty atmosphere in the begining of the season. We are giving Man UTD vibes.
@Turk_Bianconero you’ve been saying this since last year and now peole are starting to realize

Like it or not @Lion is right. Signing a keeper for 20m when you have 2 perfectly fine keepers already and now losing all your attackers is pretty retarded

Hopefully we have some deals closed already for more important positions
Wasn’t he signed on loan with the option or obligation set for next year? (when we would have to buy a keeper regardless because tek’s contract is up)
If we manage to offload Tek this year then his annual salary saving practically covers around half of the transfer fee.

Ultimately, we’ll have to wait until the end of the market to judge. I don’t begrudge a manager prioritising an overhaul of the spine of the team, especially one as spineless as ours over the past few years.

.

If......ifff he sold. no it should have been guaranteed sold before moving for a new keeper.

new keeper was not priority at all.

guiontoli is proving to be a bad negotiator

are they hoping only juventini read the news, or they are really ready to give up on a large % of the remaining, already low market value of those players?

we can change the management and the coach, in its operation it's still jj

not for 2024/25 indeed

but tek's contract is expiring, and di gregorio, probably the best italian goalie besides donnarumma was on the market. it's a long term solution and you know it. keep milking the 4th goalie mantra though, it's a good giggle

We will see. I’m really not a big fan of the Interista redhead. Actually the only player I sort of like that we bought is Kephren. Pretty much hate all the rest.

Yeah nah

Tek has an expiring contract. Needed to do something now, otherwise that 20M “fourth goalie” might be worth 35-40M next season when we’re desperate to sign one.

I don't understand why we speak out about players not being part of the project. Not one, not two, but a group of. This is very stupid and I really don't see how this would do us any good on the market.

The new management is ambitious and bold with their decisions. I like it. Now let's see if they have the ability to back this up.

Keeping players not needed out of the squad can be both negative and positive. The positive side is that you create a team focus on committing to work early, without distraction or awkward moments. That is very important when you have a new coach, new ideas. Another is that you send a clear message to some that they are not needed and would go to the stand if they refused to leave. Until now players like Chiesa may think he is too important, at least on the financial side, that the club must renew on his term, or play him even without renewing. Well after this, he may rethink his position.

The negative for sure is devalue their price. But in the market, you never know. If more than one club has an interest in a player, there will be competition and a fear factor that can make the sale easier. Giuntoli has a very difficult task, but not impossible. He seems confident as well, let's see what he is made of.

The next few weeks will be very interesting.

After Allegri’s latest tenure pretty much all the players market value in the squad has plummeted apart from a few exceptions

Anyways this is Tuz where the expectation for a full rebuild of the squad to be done in a single summer

I just think our priority is top 4 again so what does the keeper matter. Pick any of them and with a decent team in front you'll make top 4. Keepers come and go anyways, no guarantee this new guy is a lock.

I just think a top attack is much more important

Your post would make sense if we spent a significant portion of our budget on the goalkeeper but we haven't.

Szceszny's contract expires next summer, his wages are a burden on the books, and we needed to sign a goalie this year or the next anyway.

De Gregorio was a very good opportunity given that the structure of the deal was heavily favorable for us.

I don't understand why people are creating this illusion that we prioritized signing a goalkeeper over other areas? This was an easy deal to do, simple as. That doesn't mean the club wasn't focused on reinforcing other key areas which they actively happen to be doing, it's just that the negotiations are a bit complicated atm given that we don't have as big a budget to work with.

What started of as an elaborate troll attempt by Lion is turning into legitimate whining from people over signing a GK on loan. This is starting to sound silly really.

3 years of jihadball, horrible conditioning of players, poor form/mentality, depleting finances and people expect us to go back to winning Serie A titles for fun like as if nothing happened over the past few years.

Agnelli, Allegro and the rest of the incompetent buffoons set this club back by at least 3-4 years.

This is a process and it is going to be a long road ahead to return to the top. The new coach/management deserve more time and patience. We cant act on impulse like we used to. We went from top 5 team in Europe to 4th/5th best team in Serie A so people need to be realistic.

If Giuntoli had 400M lying around, the same people criticizing him would be praising him for his 'vision' and strategy. Our mercato strategy is tied to budget and opportunities. It is what it is.

So far, I only see positive stuff happening. We are overhauling our midfield and adding solid reinforcements in defense. The attack is probably going to be a bit underwhelming but as stated, you can't fix everything in one summer.
