What's the logic behind selling Rovella & De Winter?

I understand they're easy to sell for decent amounts because, besides their future potential, they're already solid players right now. But are we really that desperate for funds? I guess our current situation might be even worse than I thought.
Thanks to Elkann's inability to defend this club we are without CL or any European football for that matter, so we have to cover the deficit especially to comply with ffp. But it all seems short sighted to me to sell our future prospects whilst retaining the likes of Alex sandro and allegri on our books

We were whoring guys like Chiesa, Bremer and Vlahovic on the market, we were that desperate to get the money, so no one should be suprised we are sacrificing guys who might turn out to be a good players.

Yes, we badly need funds. Years of poor market decisions and a lack of CL football have an impact.

In my books he would be the starting regista, better than loca in that position, but allegri man....
maybe he also sees it himself. He probably wanted to convice us in the pre season and then the injury happened (not the first time for him) and it is what it is. If the guy is pushing for the move and is no eager to fight for his spot then so be it. Hopefully we negiotiate some buy out clause.

The mistake was letting him go out on loan last season especially to be replaced by that turd paredes. Tbh even id be pissed if I were rovella. I guess allegri really is pushing for this idea of fagioli as a regista too.

Yes, we are really that desperate for funds. No CL football has absolutely screwed us.

Also, we have like 44 players in the squad with 2 competitions this season. We need money and the squad needs to be trimmed ASAP. And unfortunately due to the many fuck ups by previous management, we need to sell some promising players to raise badly needed funds.

I don't think that's the case. If you have a chance to be a part of Juventus squad you give it a go. Even if you don't become a key player you will always have an opportunity to join a lesser squad later on.

Hmm, I guess my hope was that we would finally start thinking about the long term again.

Well, long term thinking starts with being financially stable and therefor qualifying for the CL this season. That is the true objective this season from the get-go.
Of course.

JJ hasn't cared about being financially stable for about 6 years now, give or take, so sooner or later that is going to backfire. But it still feels like selling someone like De Winter is terribly short sighted. Get some money now, only to lose a lot more in the future. Also, it reeks of desperation imo.
