Would Kostic leaving even be that much of a surprise, especially since theyve been linked to Augusto for awhile
for me it would be, i dont think he has set a world apart here, but sending away player who is almost guaranteed to have double digits assists is stupid. Especially if ur a dinosaur and ur football relies mainly on crosses.

Honestly, it was shocking how bad he was for Leeds. Clearly their worst player basically after his first few weeks there. Shockingly bad.

I can see why no EPL would make serious offers for him besides the cute twitter "rumors" that seem to pass around.
This is hyperbole.

Can you name a player that actually did well for Leeds after they fired Marsch? I can't think of any. They were basically all shit.

Mckennie was one of our best performers in preseason, so it doesn't make sense to sell him now, especially with Pogba and others being injured.

Yeah I probably like Kostic more than others, but I wouldnt mind getting a fee for him, as long as Augusto is brought in as a replacement. Kostic will be 31 this season while Augusto is seven years younger.

Of course, because Kostic was one of the "better" performers from last season. It's not a shock to me at all he would be sold. That's what we do here, sell our better players.

I mean, if they wanted to sell him doing it after a couple good performances in preseason is the ideal time. Means he probably has a market that he may not have had after his season ended.

Defenitely sell if we get a bid. He is not good enough and we need space and funds to be able to do signings.

Only reason he is still here is because he had an awful loan and no one is bidding. If someone does defenitely should be sold ASAP.

Would give us opportunity to sign another midfielder that can be of more use for sure.

I wouldnt mind. Kostic is a good player but we should aspire to great players or at least good ones with potential to be more than just good.

So now that we're playing a 3-5-2 fulltime and supposedly going for Lukaku, we're selling the natural LM/LWB with a skill for crossing to replace him with a natural LB, do I have that correct?

Horrendous decision if we sell Kostic, especially for more defence minded player. Lets be real here guys Kostic is one of the few player who guarantees ~10 assists. He’s bought for very cheap, doesn’t earns much and is able to cover the whole left flank. We can enjoy him a few more years especially because the financial benefits of selling him are very low.

Looking to this situation from a very one dimensional point of view (buying for a 352 only) having Kostic, Iling and Augusto suddenly seems like too much. Any normal club would look ahead and understand that we might switch to a 442 or 433. Very unnecessary decision if we sell Kostic, I’d be against it.

Maybe he isn’t the kind of player we should aspire to have in the starting eleven but surely he earns a place in our roaster.
