Kessie was great in Milan, one of the best in Serie A in his position. Not easy to be a starter in Barca who always will prefere there own players like Pedri, Gavi; Busquets etc. Still every time I saw Kessie play, he did a very gokd job at Barca.

Without doubt Kessie would be an amazing deal for us, our midfield would be better with him.
Milan fans were very happy he left. He only ever showed his value in the first half of their scudetto season.

He's still an ok player, I guess but 8 mil is waaaaay too much and he's also not needed at all. We have more than enough players to fill his position. If anything, we need a CM with some attacking playmaking skills.

I don't understand this capital gain farce. Was it like that always or did it start only after FFP was launched? I remember clubs used to just admit they made a mistake and release bad players on free once their contract ends to stop the money bleeding. Is it only Juve who extends player like Pjaca and Arthur and loan them out forever? How the fuck is this less of a financial penalty than just let them leave? If anything you would want their contracts to expire as soon as possible no??

@Bjerknes look at this, this club never ceases to surprise me with retardation. incredible, i'm lost for words

1M per season or we are stuck in the same situation until it expires again. We seem to insist on recovering some money from his purchase but if we renew at current terms there is absolutely no way he is leaving.

Yeah someone needs to explain this in simple terms as I don't understand it either.

extending the contract might have multiple reasons, one of them is to lower the yearly amortization. but this is short sighted in this case as amortization is a non cash expense, while the salary must be paid, and arthur's wages are so high that jj can't realistically expect any club to fully pay that. i hope it makes sense.

If he renew, he should also lower his salary spread to longer term. It's possible but we dont know if Arthur and his agent accept it

I hope his current salary will be amortized over one more year, so he would automatically lower his salary.

that would make some sense if he was on an expiring contract. but he isn't

anyway, i'll go easier with my predictions as it looks like i'm underestimating jj's lack of common sense
We've all been there at some point bro.

Feel me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, can't get fooled again!

This is what happens when you have weak leadership and a total lack of direction/philosophy. It's all about clowns showing how cost was reduced for fiscal year to get those bonuses. Disgusting club, we deserve to go bankrupt.
