If the choice is him or Lukaku at 40m at 10m salary I'd rather Morata and put the difference towards signing someone who could add goals/assists from midfield.

I'd still prefer we go for a striker who has not yet peaked and would have a resale value if it didn't work out.

Think about what Allegri wants? man he's had 2 years of getting who he wants and failed. Whats another year to him? With a bit of luck Allegri will be gone within a year then what? Next coach doesn't want Lukaku, but we're stuck with him, at least if we sign someone younger with promise he has resale value. Lukaku is anything but a reliable forward, he was injured for something like 18 games last season, disappeared from the big games, imagine that culminated with being coached by this terrorist of a coach in Allegri, oh it just reeks of another transfer failure waiting to happen.

You need to think like a management for a second and then you realize you get the players your coach asks you too and if you dont trust your coach you fire him and replace him. Since he is definitely staying for another season, its understandable that he will get the players he thinks are the best fit.

Thing is we've trusted Allegri with players and they've flopped, the difference is Lukaku is potentially the most expensive mistake to date, if Allegri fails to deliver again, then we're lumped with his expensive mistake(s)

Nobody wants Vlahovic for the price, or he would've been scooped up immediately also, Enrique's at PSG so I don't think they'll go for him. Spurs will bid for Vlahovic after selling Kane but I think he'll refuse, EPL is going to be super competitive this year and Spurs are crap.

I agree with you dont get me wrong. The thing is we are not the ones who decide which means he is staying. If he stays he needs to work like a manager which means transfers should be made upon his requests.
As for Lukaku - I rather see every other linked striker (maybe with the exception of Scammaca who is being hailed as a Van Basten despite never really being a scorer).
Wages and stuff? Yeah I know how this is going to be and like I said Im against it but it seems to be going on whethere we like it or not.
