So another LB in our long list of LB's

We have Sandro, we have Pellegrini, we have Cambiasso, we have Frabotta and now we trying to add another one in Parisi.

Wow.
Sandro is hard to dump. That auto-renewal is an economic crime.
Pellegrini wants to stay at Lazio. Also there're rumors about him being part of SMS deal.
Cambiaso is the most versatile here, can play LB and LWB, even on the right flank. We can use him.
Frabotta had consistent playing time in Serie B last season. 22 apps, 3 assists.

IMO it won't be difficult to find buyers for Pellegrini and Frabotta. The real problem is the Brazilian. The Parisi deal prolly depends on whether we can sell him first. If we mange to do that, it would be:
LB: Parisi/Cambiaso
LWB: Kostic/Cambiaso

And in case they all get injured or suffer from fatigue, we have the mighty

:MDS:

Retardi is nowhere near Nedved level though. You make exceptions for players of a certain quality, even if they are 30, but Retardi isn't one of them.
i never compared them, that's not the point.

buying players in their prime isn't an exception though. a 28 year old player isn't old, let's not draw arbitrary lines. just read what osman wrote above

28 year old sergej would easily be our best midfielder. as for berardi, he'd easily replace di maria and has better g/a than dybala in the last few seasons. i don't know whether they fail at jj or not, they offer no guarantees, i don't even think we're after berardi for allegri's shitty 3-5-2 with no wingers, but dismissing them just because they're 28 isn't something i can agree with

...yet we only look at Italian players...
jj just signed a murican and a polak, last season we recruited bremer, di maria, pogba, kostic, paredes, sergej is yugoslavian, etc. berardi rumor has no substance imo.

parisi is cool, i'm all for it

Berardi has consistently produced good numbers for years, Zaniolo is still just a talent, but with two broken knees.

But yeah, I want neither of them.
Berardi produced more and its a fact. I definitely agree with this but Zaniolo as a player is more talented and has way more potential. The problem is how fit will he be with his history and the Juve injure history. There is even a chance Pogba and Zaniolo together wouldnt complete a season together.
For this reason Berardi is a much safer bet.

Stats wise he actually makes sense though.

A fit zaniolo v fit berardi, id fucking get someone else preferably not Italian
I dont really care about Italian vs non Italian as I dont work in the Make Italy great again like organization.

Sell Chiesa and Vlahovic for Berardi when we have zero creativity. Sounds about right. Rabiot must've had assurances that we'd be competitive before signing for us. Imagine we get SMS and Kean misses all the tap ins. All we need now is confirmation of the 3-5-2 and the season is over before it even begins.
Since Vlahovic isnt really known for his KDB like creativity, I`d just compare Berardi and Chiesa in this matter. Chiesa is definitely far more talented but in production Berardi is quite good actually.
I do agree we would need to use the money we receive in a proper manner though.

Tak!

Wow.
And the only one we want to keep is Cambiaso? Frabotta will leave on transfer or loan to Serie B. We're stuck with Sandro but we can always dream of a separation. MDS is out and hopefully stays out. Pellegrini will be shipped away too. Danilo could step in as LB in a crisis admittedly. On paper we have coverage especially since we will, I assume, not be in Europe. But Parisi looks really good, I'd be happy if he came. Cambiaso can cover on the right too.

one day: allegri will stick to his 3-5-2

next day: he might want a trequartista

commenting and considering mercato rumors is just some harmless time wasting, isn't it

I'm not sure Berardi translates well to a bigger team, he's accustomed to being the most important player in Sassuolo, a lot of possession goes through him and he gets a lot of attempts. When I watch him at Azzurri, where he isn't the focal point, I'm not impressed tbh. Last season he scored 12 goals, 7 came from penalty attempts. The remaining 5 + his other shots look like a catastrophe, especially those 30-40 attempts from outside of the box. Dude scored a banger against Lecce in August and then kept trying and failing at least once a game for the rest of the season lol.

He'll basically replace Cuadrado in that regard then.

He should indeed score less for us. What is more important though is that would be our best creator. Berardi creates a lot of chances for others, we lack that a lot.
